Very pleasant and comfortable stay
I was at the Uppal for my friend's wedding and it was fantastic! The grounds were quite picturesque and the staff were extremely friendly, hiring out cars and taking care of our every need. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the food was phenomenal!

Nice staff, comfortable rooms but food was terrible and overpriced. Cab to airport was 750 rupees which is ridiculous for a 10-15 minute trip. ( airport to central Delhi was 550 RS) Has a kind of faded charm Ok, but wouldn't seek it out. Also a little tricky for my driver to find

Ideal location
Close proximity to the airport. Ideal location for travel to Gurgaon as well as to Delhi itself. Calm and serene property, close but still away from the hustle and bustle of Delhi

It was better than I expected. Close to airport
I needed a place to stay for two nights before heading to Calcutta. Arriving in the middle of the night, I was concerned that I would have reliable transportation and a good hotel. Both exceeded my expectations. The room seemed clean, the bed was comfortable, complementary wifi worked well, and the included breakfast had everything I could have wanted. Driving distance from airport was 15 to 20 minutes I would guess.. For the price I could not have obtained something better.

They present themself as a 5 starts hotel, it is more like 1. The lobby is ok, people are helpful but the rooms are not what descrived. Rooms are small and smelly, beds have stains, and very hard mattress, small bathroom. Hallways are in bad shape

Tucked away in a green corner
Though further away from the terminal than the other Airport Hotels in Delhi, it is pleasantly tucked away in a green area. staff was good, room generally comfortable and large.

The staff were great, accommodating, friendly and helpful. As for the room--it was less than satisfactory for the steep price. The bedding had a sour odor, bad enough that i initially thought the wrinkled sheets had not been changed since the last occupancy. But i gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed the stink was from the linens being dried indoors during the monsoons. The shower was built in a manner that guaranteed water would spread over the bathroom floor. The toilet seat was too small for the rim. I've stayed at far cheaper hotels in Delhi in which the rooms were as good, if not better. The Rs. 750 charge for the hotel taxi to the international airport is simply criminal, as the regular taxi charge would have been Rs. 300 or less. But i took it anyway, as i did not want the hassle of getting a taxi to find the place and pick us up on time. That said, the service itself was efficient and quick.

Nice, old-style hotel with a few issues.
Most of the staff was very friendly. The front desk staff should be better trained. When I turned my keys in, I was told I had to settle my bill, which I had settled an hour before. I had to present the receipt I was given to prove that I had paid my bill. No apology. We were charged 750 Rs. for an airport drop, which I carefully explained we would need one of us dropped off at the international terminal and one of us would need to go to the domestic terminal. When we got to the airport, the driver got upset because we had only paid 750 Rs, which he said was for one drop-off at one terminal, not two. So I gave him an extra 200 Rs and told him to tell the staff their pricing structure needed work. I doubt I will stay here again.

For such a big hotel they need to upgrade gadgets, power outlets and internet. If you want to earn Millennials business and transient business it better be upgraded to current world. Room size is good along with beds. Very very small details like power outlets, plug points near the bed, pleasant toiletries are missing. I am surprised that in today's world they did not even keep a bathing soap in the bathroom. No facial tissues in the room etc. These are minor details and would cost nothing and would provide very pleasant experience to guests. Staff were very very pleasant except for they ask for room number multiple times (while walking in, while dining, while picking up food) while dining. Proper coordination is missing as each waiter asks for the room number instead of asking once while signing the check. Air conditioning unit is very old (takes lot of time to cool) and the hotel itself is very old but maintained well.

Beautiful hotel for a good price!
I chose this hotel for the price and location close to the airport. Even though they charged $15 US for the airport shuttle (each way), it was easier than navigating on my own. If I was more familiar with Delhi, I would have negotiated cars on my own and saved a lot of money. If you are looking for a place to stay in Delhi for a few days, I wouldn't recommend this hotel as it's location is very remote from everything you would want to do in the city, but if you are looking to relax at a 'resort' this would be a beautiful place to do so. I could see that it would be a beautiful venue for a wedding as well. The main areas, rooms and hotel grounds are very beautiful and impressive. I wish I had time to make use of the pool and the grounds, but this was just a stopover. Staff was very helpful and they were very aware of customer service and were able to accommodate my needs.

Friendly staff, great service, awesome food spread. Pool and pool-side service are impressive.The hotel is in need of repairs and it shows, unfortunately. The plumbing needs attention and the bed & pillows aren't premium quality. As someone with a high sensitivity to stale and old sheets/towels, I had trouble sleeping well. Rooms are spacious and quiet and the property has impressive horticulture, which is refreshing.

Very good service overall. Beautiful gardens which is a nice change for Delhi, with clean grounds, also a nice change. We emailed prior to our stay about transport to the airport and we received an email to say transport to the airport was free of charge. On checkout, we had to argue with the front desk that we had indeed received said email and had to unpack our laptop to 'prove' that this had happened. We explained that we had spent all available rupees in the hotel's restaurant, the night before. This incident was very embarassing to us and we felt like 'criminals', although eventually the hotel honored their email when they read it.

This hotel is really only a five minute drive from the airport. A few of the other airport hotels are thirty minutes a way. The staff was excellent and I enjoyed walking around the gardens. I was there for a long lay over, and it was worth the stay. The rooms are good sized and lots of amenities.

The rooms are a little tired. The hot water is turned off at midnight which is understandable, but disappointing for travelers arriving late from overseas. The air conditioning stayed at a steady 25C no matter what it was set to, and I didn't receive my wake up call. None of these are major issues but they don't add up to a 4-star hotel.

I have stayed twice here and am very happy with the hotel. Very good place for both business and family vacation. Situated in a calm surrounding that gives you a resort feel.

We liked our stay.
Stayed overnight to catch international flight next morning. We loved the complementary airport transfer, in addition to that, we took 4 hours city tour package. Very nice service. Bathroom looked little dated but clean. Had good stay , will come back again.

wintertime is not good to be in India
It is air-condition at the hotel. The problem was at evening/night during december 2014, the outside temp was down to 4,8 degreeC, and inside at the room there were no heating. Inside temp 16 degree and we felt very much COLD.....

Wood hotel after a long trip.
This hotel is pricy but helped me adjust to the time change and the country. Staff are helpful and friendly. They booked a train for us. If you ask for a taxi they will get one of their private drivers which we was 25 dollars for 4 hours. Wedding in the garden kept us up our second night but it was interesting to see.

Close to New Delhi Airport
The hotel property grounds are quite pleasant and the hotel itself is a bit dated but well maintained. Convenient location for accessing the New Delhi Airport, but not convenient for "walk-to" dining or shopping. Food in the hotel restaurant was good, and so was the service. Good room prices in comparison to other hotels in this class.

I made a reservation for my elderly parents last Sunday (March 16,2014) because they had a 7 hour layover in New Delhi. The staff was very accommodating and helpful to them. The car service was great. The driver was there before they arrived and also took them to the airport later in the evening. No hassles. The front desk staff Raj and Anil were both very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

A genial place to stay so close to the airport
In past years while in transit through Delhi, I stayed at a resort hotel about 30 minutes drive from the airport. This time early morning flight made it necessary to stay close to the international airport; Hotel Uppal turned out to be an excellent choice. Secured access, well maintained outer and inner greens add to the general ambience of the place. Hotel staff appeared friendly, helpful and ever smiling. Room was well furnished. Bathtub was too deep with very wide platform to climb over, elderly person needs to be careful to avoid a nasty fall. Restaurant menu offers a wide selection of foods, but the service is very slow. The hotel is 10-15 minutes drive from the airport. Prepaid taxi (regular black and yellow) fare is INR230,hotel runs shuttle service to and from the airport, each way costs INR750, so the fare is high. Reception lounge area is quite large with limited seating place for 6-7 people only.
