“Delhi Radisson”
Excellent room and a nice hotel.
“Very convenient location and a little safe haven in the madness of Delhi.”
Nice hotel, great location, very friendly and helpful staff. The centre of Connaught Place is a couple of minutes walk away.....very convenient. My complaint is in relation to the rooms. Having spent some days travelling around India prior to ending in Delhi, we were spoilt by huge bedrooms until this point. The rooms here are VERY small, filled further by large furniture, making it very inconvenient to walk around even to the other side of the bed. The bathroom too was fairly tiny and the shower cublcle was not water tight so after each shower, the whole bathroom was flooded. The water temperature in the shower too was temperamental so often did not warm up sufficiently. While the standard of the hotel was high, it ranked lower than other Radisson Hotels I have previously stayed at.
“Not a very nice area, but central”
The area around outside the hotel a complete chaos under construction , the ac was not working and the room had a kitchen smell.
“overpriced great location still upgrading”
the deluxe room turned out to be with tiny bed and small, the room with two twin beds was also small, finally was given a room with large king. Corridors had dirty, torn carpets, very shocking given how modern the rooms are. Last minute booking cost way too much, is too expensive. the rooms themselves have been upgraded and are very modern, glass showers and a lot of wood floors and cabinetry, good range of lighting. electrical outlets did not have the dual prong holes so the adapter the hotel provided started sparking and would not charge the laptop. initially the internet, though free, was spotty and difficult to use. These two issues were finally resolved and rest of 3 day stay went well. staff is very courteous, free buffet breakfast quite a nice spread. Location at Connaught Place is central all metros arrive at Rajiv chauk to change to different liens, festivals going on in Central Park, lots of stores etc, but Connaught Place itself is still grimy, with dusty unpaved back lanes and a lot of construction going on. Overpriced but adequately modern boutique hotel, in central location in Delhi.
“Poor value for the price”
This hotel is in a great location, but nearly impossible to find from the street. There is construction in the area of the hotel and the sidewalks are ripped up. When you arrive there is little or no signadge to loated the hotel. You have to drag your bags over construction debris and dirt. No one is on duty at the door to assist you with this. At night in the dark it is a nightmare. The staff is pleasant, but many services are missing. The Business Center has been ripped out and is nothing but an empty room. When I asked about internet service, I was told that there was a compurter available in another room but a meeting was going on and I would have to wait 2-3 hours for access. No change for smaller bills available at the front desk. The breakfast was nice, but very poor service. There are all sorts of wait staff wandering around, but I constantly had to ask for coffee, a napkin, etc. I can deal with all of this...but not at hundreds of dollars per night.
“"Very Disappointed"”
Arrived at the Radisson and had a pleasant check in process. Proceeded to my room which was not large enough for me and my suitcase so sharing the small double bed with my bag would be necessary. I opened the drapes to learn my room overlooked the inteior of the hotel, cold comfort in the event of a fire. The next thing I noticed was the toilet was making a gurgling sound, Ok I'll just keep the door closed. Proceeded to the minibar to discover there was no refrigeration and everything was warm. Since I had been traveling all day I was now tired, hungry and thirsty, I made a decision to simply put my valuables into the safe and go in search of dinner. The safe was inoperable, I called reception and was told someone would be coming asap to take care of the problems. I waited for three hours and finally went to reception with my complaints and they did move me to another room. My new room was larger so there was now no need to sleep with my suitcase, the safe worked and the toilet was quiet. The only thing that was broken was the desk lamp. I opened the drapes to find a great view of the mechanical systems however they were outside and in the event of a fire I could get out of the room. It was now 9:30pm and I had not eaten since breakfast so I went in search of the hotel's restaurant and had one of the worst dinners in my 30 day tour of Asia.
