“Refurbished and near the airport. Otherwise not great.”

200 rupees in a taxi to the airport which is fine. Staff tried to deny we had booked and paid for a larger room. There are no twin beds above the basic room and no restaurant. Only room service. Even for breakfast.

“Worst hotel I stayed in India”

When I read reviews before I set out I thought they must all be fussy Americans and exaggerated. This hotel has the 'look' , the furniture is very smart, the taps and fittings are smart but the workmanship is poor. The towels were damp , as were the sheets. The grit on the floor crunched under your feet. Breakfast was a joke. They did not have what was on their own sparse menu. Where was the restaurant advertised on the web site. When I opened the curtains there was a wall a few inches away! There were animals scurring around in the ceiling coffer all night, luckily I had ear plugs so I could not hear them. I really do not think Expedia should have such an hotel on it's listings. This hotel is charging western prices and not giving the service. I have stayed in far cheaper hotels that are cleaner! There really are no excuses for a floor not to be clean. I think all the hotels in this strip are similar, either one has to pay more or go into Delhi, which is less convenient. I checked out as soon as I got up to read my book in the airport, though I had planned to relax in my room .
