My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. The only minor complaint that I have is that while eating breakfast, we waited for quite a while for a refill on coffee which never came. We figured we could just get a cup in the lobby and take it back to the room, but the coffee was empty there too. Perhaps staffing levels are reduced during the Summer. Whenever everything else is so good, sometimes the minor things stand out. Recommended.

I am not sure if Expedia mentioned that there is not air conditioning in the units, but every room (I stayed in a three room condo) came complete with a box fan. By aiming one of the downstairs fans in and the fan in the top room out, I had the place chilled down to 65 degrees in a matter of minutes that kept cool through the day. Yes, I did close the windows and put the fans away after it cooled off ;).
The other reason why the lack of air conditioning really isn't a big deal is that there are so many trails, hikes, and activities that you really shouldn't be spending much time at your home-base other than a meal or break between adventures.
Great location in the Silver Lake area, minimal walking to the ski area. Lift access to base of mountain, ski school with the children, little traffic/light volume. Room well appointed, washer/dryer, fireplace, private hot tub. Great views of the mountains and skiing areas. Minor issues as expected, overall very positive experience

I would say my overall experience was awesome. I think my major disappointment was the jacuzzi. I picked the hotel specifically because there was a jacuzzi on the balcony. I went to get in and it was empty... Totally bummed. I think the other kinda bummer was that the lobby hours of the staff are from 10-5 so when you actually need something nobody is there to help you.
The rooms were beautiful and you really couldn't ask for more as far as conscience to the lifts and shops!
