“Our experience was fine”
very nice room, very confortable bed, very low price compared to area hotels. Didn't stay they to hang out...just needed a good bed and the price was right....very likely to stay there again.
“highly recommended”
I have stayed here a few times recently and I have to say I have been very impressed. Thee hotel is convenient to Amtrak rt128 stop and shuttle service picks you up very quickly. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are decent in size and beds and linens cozy. The rooms are also quiet. I know there have been people staying next door but the rooms seem pretty sound proof. The indoor pool is beautiful and well kept. Car rental service in lobby. The hotel is right across the street from a nice mall complete with cinema, nice restaurants and a whole foods. I will stay here again when in the area.
“Clean and cheap place to stay close to Boston.”
The staff was outstanding. They have a great free shuttle service to a local Logan express station and the commuter rail. The hotel was cleaner than any that I have stayed in recently. My only concern was that they had older doors that were not soundproof, so I could hear much of what went on in the hall. My stay was on a busy weekend in Boston, and rates in the city were 250 and up a night, this hotel had very reasonable rates with a short commute to the city by train (less than 20 min).
“Will be back in the fall”
I have used this hotel on numerous occasions and have always been satisfied. I will use it again later this summer or early fall. It is convenient to Boston for Celtics and Red Sox games. It was just rennovated so everything was like new.
“A surprsisingly nice room”
After reading a few other reviews of this hotel my hopes weren't that high and walking into the gloomy lobby that felt like a cave my hopes were even lower about the quality of the room. Boy was I surprised once I got up them. The room looked like it was just refurbished with new furniture, paint, LCD TV (with a plethora of inputs for you traveling with your own DVD or video game system) and a new bathroom. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but the shower's size and water pressure was above what one usually encounters. The only attached restaurant is an Asian one, but 25 yards around the corner there is Joe's American Bar and Grill and across the street they are building a Whole Foods and other restaurants. Free wireless internet was a big plus.
“Better than expected”
My girlfriend and I stayed here. Since we are on a budget. I thought that we would be very critical of this mid-priced hotel but it turned out very well. Some of the other, older reviews mentioned construction but there was none. The room was extraordinary and clean. Overall, the hotel was in in great shape and our king bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The downsides are this...First, the place is a maze and it can be difficult to find your room the first time. Second, not enough coffee in the room. They only provided two cafeinated single packs and there is no free coffee in the lobby. We were not looking for a free continental breakfast but what hotel does not have free coffee in the lobby anymore? One other annoyance was the lack of a fan in the bathroom (steamy mirror). Overall, however, we were impressed and would stay there again. People were courteous and the location provided a lot of shopping and eating alternatives.
“Clean, pleasant, and conveniently located”
The hotel was well-appointed and clean; check-in was fast and professional. The only glitch was in their restaurant on Sunday morning. The hotel had a large number of guests Saturday night due to the football game, yet had only one employee scrambling in the restaurant to take everyone's orders at Sunday breakfast. This was a bit shortsighted for the hospitality industry, but the single employee remained friendly and efficient throughout the morning.
“Not impressed”
One ice machine for 6 floors. Construction work set off fire alarms day and night. Tour group of teens running the floors all night, 100 kids in the pool and no supervision. No hotel bar and the only food is a Japanese restaurant. Have to drive everywhere. Advertised recreation room, they are still building it. Advertised being near shops and movie theatre, but its still being built. Felt like they took advantage and were not very pleasant about it either. Not going back.
“YOU CAN DO BETTER”
Grounds dirty, not well kept over all hotel in disrepair including the parking lot. I was on Business travel but because I was not checked in as Business stay or because I booked on Expedia I had to pay $14.00 for breakfast in lieu of a free comp breakfast. Hotel would not fix the mistake.
“Do not stay here!”
Lobby smelled strongly of insecticide whole time we were there. Plastic cups for water glasses only, and not replaced each day. Internet very, very poor. Only interim connections. Was advertised as having freebinternet in room. Not at all reliable. Parking lot had large potholes, which were hard to miss
