“I will go back again”
I was pleased with our stay here. The staff was very nice and any extra requests we had were fulfilled immediately. The rooms were a little outdated but everything was nice and clean. The breakfast in the hotel's restaurant was great and you get so much food we couldn't eat it all. My husband loved the fact that they had a dj all weekend playing music by the pool, even on Sunday. We acutally pd a little extra to extend our check out time on Sunday cause our 3yr old son didn't want to leave the pool.
“Fun and convenient place!”
This resort is very close to many stores and restaurants (within walking distance) and has a wonderful pool with a tiki bar. The place is good for people who like loud music, it's a party place. The beach is wonderful and it's easily accessible from the resort, just look out for the cars driving up and down in case you have small children. The rates we got were very reasonable compared to nearby resorts and offered the same ammenities. The area seemed pretty safe, a few miles from the main downtown Daytona beach, so not much action as far as sirens or police activity. Overall, this place was great and I was completely happy with it.

My family and I have been staying at the La Playa for the past 5 years - averaging 3 stays per year. Facility is clean, safe and family friendly. We are already planning to return in Spring '09
“Great and inexpensive”
La Playa is right on the beach and conveniently across the street from a shopping center with grocery store starbucks and subway. Didn't have to go anywhere else - just enjoy the beach. Room was great and had a kitchenette. What a deal in October to get every other night free! Will stay here again next October.

Hotel was great, staff was very helpful. Enjoyed staying there and would definatly go back again. Have to check out pizza wings and things across the street in the plaza. Owners and employees were awesome, had a great time.

“Great Ocean View-Will Stay Here Again!”
If you are looking for a great view of the ocean I would insist on staying on the top floor, end room is the best. The balcony was wonderful except for the air conditoner which vented onto it and made it noisy and hot. But the view was awesome. The hotel is a bit run-down and they were working on that during our stay. Plan on waiting for an elevator especially from the top floor. Our room had everything we needed for a long stay, maid service was sporatic but requests were handled quickly. Outside pool area was very nice, tiki bar was a bit high on prices but bartender was very friendly and had lots of tips on things to see in the area and also some local stories. This was an awesome place to stay for the price!!

A great stay for a great prize. Right by the beach, it was all that we could ask for.
