“OK, but nothing special”
The hotel doesn't deserve 3 stars. It's adequate and conveniently located near Interstate 75 in an area with numerous restaurants and other hotels. Its location is probably the best feature. Noise control and general ambience are the downside.
“Woman traveling alone”
Booked a king smoking room three weeks prior to my stay which was 10-14-06. Was allowed to check in early at 1:00 PM, that was a plus. The hotel clerk tried to put me in a queen smoking and I corrected him, got the room I paid for without a fuss. There were no free cookies available when I arrived. Was told to park on the side of the building to enter room #103. It is a well lighted area at night and early in the AM and I parked right in front of the entrance door on the side Perfect! No problem, the room was close to the front desk, the work out room Also right next to the spa and pool facilities. Vending machines and ice maker were practically right outside my door. Great location for a woman traveling alone. I felt secure. My room was gigantic, with king bed, desk, dressers, a cozy chair with foot stool, HBO on TV. The pillows were heavenly. The decore was conservative country style and very tasteful, and had a homey feeling to it. Big spacious window. AC and heat worked just fine, asked for extra coffe, and got it with a smile from the maid service. Very helpful staff. The carpeting under the foot stool was dirty it had not been moved or vaccumed under and the ice cube pale in the bathroom had black mold around the inside of it,(YUCK!) I had to wash it all out with soap and water. None of the waste cans had trash bag liners in them either. I thought that was a bit strange. The spa and pool area were very clean and it was really a pleasant room, it even had windows in it.
“DON'F FORGET TO CLEAN THE LITTLE THINGS”
Most hotels have a tray in the bathroom with a coffee pot and cups. Most people don't use it. During our stay at this hotel, it was very obvious. Everything was very clean until you moved that! Hair, dirt, grime. Just general untidiness. Overall, the hotel was very much to my liking. Would prefer and outdoor pool, though. Also, has anyone else noted the fact that "non-smoking" states have taken out the fan in the bathrooms in hotels? This was a completely non-smoking hotel yet no fans. VERY ODD. One last note...this area amused us in that it looked like someone from the heavens took a handful of "chain hotel/restaurant" seeds and scattered them from the sky! I have never seen an area populated with just about every restaurant, hotel, and even a WalMart in one area like this!
“Dayton”
Room was clean, spare, just comfortable, a little depressing but not bad. There were practically no decent TV channels.
“Not Impressed”
The service was friendly, but our first room wasn't cleaned yet, so we had to change rooms. The bed was slightly tilted so it was very uncomfortable. For the price, I could have had a much better experience someplace else. On a positive note, the free breakfast was plentiful, and again, the gentleman working the counter was very nice.
“Reasonable value”
Good value, room was fine, only a couple of minor cleanliness issues in the room. Ask for more or better pillows, the ones provided were weak. Free breakfast was above average, good selection and quality.
“parking”
parking tight at this location with trailer
“Not impressed”
Rooms were not clean, bathrooms especially.
“Not impressed”
below usual Country Inn quality, Front desk employee rude, slow and apathetic. Toilet in room was plugged when we arrived
“New meaning for frozen breakfast food”
Had to rate the Quality of Hotel Service as a 1 due to the Sunday breakfast. At 7 a.m. we had frozen eggs and frozen sausage. When I brought it to the employees attention, he stated that it was okay they would warm up in a minute and be too hot to eat. That didn't happen. Settled for a banana and cup of coffee.
