“Great hotel”

Hotel was very clean and spacious. Room was well organized and had everything I needed for my trip. Hotel is well located within a casual walk to downtown with the souvenir shops, restaurants and pubs.

Could not have been in a more central location ... all major facilities were within a radius of 200 metres ... Extremely comfortable ... helpful staff ... I enjoyed my stay very much ...

“Darwin Central OK”

The room I had was quite large with a sofa and chair and a small kitchen. The hotel did not provide a non dairy creamer for coffee. The hotel did not have a HIGH SPEED internet service and the dial up was extremely slow. The food court wasn't open for dinner. There are plenty of internet cafe's nearby and at least two of them will allow you to hook up a laptop to their system and they were cheap. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel charges Australian $12.00 a day for parking a car in the hotel garage.

“Darwin Central Hotel”

Hotel was great, very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. The only disappointment was that the laundry and ice machine are on the 3rd floor and locked from 10 PM to 8AM. The staff would retreive ice at any hour but if you want to get your laundry done, don't plan on doing it in the middle of the night (as I do when traveling). Save $13 AUD by parking on the street at night (after 5PM to 8AM).

“Great location, clean, modern, friendly”

Stayed three days on vacation. The staff were helpful. The corridors and rooms were clean, amply sized and comfortable. The Indian restaraunt is a bit pricy (AU$7 for rice), but has dishes I hadn't seen elsewhere--curried puffed corn with a bit of spinach was particularly interesting. The hotel is in the downtown core, and is a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, and a 15 minute walk to the harbor.

“The Darwin Central - clean, quiet, safe, excellent”

The Darwin Central Hotel is in a good location. Close to supermarket, shops, movies, great dining (indoors and outdoors) gym. Darwin is easy to drive around in and city is close to airport.

“Lovely Stay”

We had a very pleasant stay over Christmas whilst visiting family. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, always greeting you on your way in or out and always ready to help with any queries, taxi bookings etc. Darwin was on cyclone watch for Cyclone Grant over the Christmas period and the hotel kept us informed of procedures without being alarmist. The room was large and comfortable and had blackout curtains and the shower was superb - really powerful. We didn't use the hotel restaurant as we were visiting family so cannot comment other than it looked very nice. There is a laundry room in the hotel which is useful, it was not expensive and was kept very clean. The hotel is right in the centre of Darwin so handy for all the shops, bars and restaurants but, even though it is so central it was not noisy.

“Great location, service and value”

Excellent location and quality of staff and service was great! Extremely helpful staff. The bed in my room was a little saggy, but saw the hotel receiving about +10 new mattresses when I was checking out. Maybe I had one that was due to be replaced. The AC was a little too powerful for the room even when it was set on low, but it'd be a good thing when it gets really hot outside. Great value for what I paid for.
