“Very nice short stay in Protea Courtyard”
It is a very nice hotel in Dar es Salaam, it's quiet, small and compared to other hotels in the city it's the most holiday-like (apart from those located in Oyster Bay). I would definitely recommend you to stay there if you visit Dar for day or two. The staff is very friendly, rooms comfortable and clean and the cuisine very satisfying.
“A great stop over”
Hotel staff were extremely helpful and freindly. Alothough there was some refurbishment taking place it didn't affect our stay. Room, was clean, modern and comfortable. Complimentary fruit and chocolates, air conditioning, TV, and a fabulous bathroom We ate in the 'Open house' and the hotel resturant. Both were fine, good service and nice food. The court yard is well stocked with plenty of plants and a small pool, which we didn't use, but it was being used, you can also eat in the court yard. WiFi did not work anywhere but the business centre, which was a shame as we needed to get Internet.
“My highest regards”
This is a home away from home, in a place where a safe haven feels like a great contribution to the overal comfort of a visit. The hotel has been consistently providing good food (with the single exception of a strange shrimp coctail), prompt services, smiling and helpful staff, and managing any trouble I or they had in a professional manner. The pinnacle of perfection was when they managed to return a phone i had accidentaly left in a taxi I ordered back to me within a few hours. This just doesn't happen otherwise.
“Lovely Tanzanian courtyard, free internet and clean rooms”
Rather than a sterile high rise hotel, this is a 3-story hotel built around an open courtyard. Rooms are very clean, well maintained, hot showers and free wireless internet (when it works in Dar es Salaam). The staff are friendly and helpful. Courtyard encourages late afternoon relaxing and chatting. If you reserve two or more weeks in advance for a 3 day stay or longer, it is quite affordable. Free breakfast but meals at the one hotel restaurant are so-so. Con: walkable but not located close to other hotels, restaurants or business centers.
“One night in Dar”
A good hotel for transit through Dar. Quiet & relaxed. Nice to have a cold beer by the pool. Food average. Room very comfortable. Complementary fresh fruit and mars bar in my room - a nice touch. Staff very helpful. I used the business centre for free to check in for my flight & print boarding pass. Recetion staff made me a take away breakfast for departure at 6am - another really nice touch.

Un hôtel bien situé dans Dar es Salaam, bien tenu, plaisant avec son jardin intérieur et sa piscine (de taille moyenne). Connexion wi-fi stable, illimitée et gratuite. Bon rapport qualité/prix en comparaison avec ce qu'on peut trouver à Dar.
