“Weekend away”
Very modern. Loved it!!!
“Modern, attractive, but lots of partying”
This hotel is super savvy and very attractive to young guests. The decor is quite modern, the rooms are incredibly inviting for being so small. The bed was amazingly plush and comfortable. My only complaint is the noise level. There was obvious partying in the hotel, the halls, in multiple rooms, etc. until after 1 or 2am. I'd heard this was a concern from prior guests, and it's definitely an issue. I don't recommend this hotel for families with kids or older guests who have trouble sleeping with noise.
“Enjoyed visit”
Hotel was very quiet, modern and stylish. Rooms were nicely appointed but very small.
“Very different. Very nice. Excellent front desk.”
Everything went as planned. No problems. This is very important during the holidays. No hangups.
“Industrial”
Industrial room design and decorating. Not cozy at all. Lots of partying going on both nights in lobby. One night it carried into guest room hallways until 2 am.
“Staff is not unfriendly however they can more welcoming and attentive”
Convenient location, ambiance is comfortable, food in restaurant is okay but some portions are on the small side. I enjoyed breakfast buffet...fruit is always fresh and presentation of food is good. Eggs were over heated on the breakfast buffet table. Recommend they lower the sterno heat. Scallops with the sauted spinach for dinner were fantastic. I would recommend this meal. Maid service is good but slow...my room wasn't cleaned until late afternoon. However love the free bottles of water and convenient coffee maker in the rooms. I would recommend they offer tea bags however, as I don't drink coffee and was yearning for a cup of tea before bedtime. The bar is always relaxing and the bar tenders are terrific! Very good service...also in the nearby restaruant area. Love the convenience of the sundry shop in the lobby. Great for a late night snack. Easy and hassle-free. Great outdoor lounge area with a huge fire pit and lots of space and tables. Great in the summer time. I will visit the NYLO again the next time I'm in Plano and need a hotel.
“Good place to stay~”
It's a great hotel to choose in plano~Across the street, there are many different kinds of restaurants to eat. The hotel is really comfortable, I highly recommend it.
“Ok stay”
The hotel was a really nice modern hotel, however I would not recommend the hotel for a quite night away, as you can hear the band on the weekend and valet takes all the parking around the building and guests have to park in the back. Not good customer service, valet should be in the back and not the front.
“Great if you don't plan on sleeping”
The appearance and cleanliness of the room was superb. My husband and I were excited to stay here and enjoy a much needed vacation. Unfortunately, at about 2 in the morning, we awoken by a horde of drunken maniacs galloping through the hallway. They screamed and yelled and banged on everyone's doors on their way through. But did it end there? No, of course not. They proceeded to start a party in one of the other rooms on our floor, and while I can't be positive about which room it was, it sure sounded like they were next door. Imagine like 50 or so people screaming and yelling, and doing what sounded like a tribal dance at 2 in the morning. It's not a lovely way to be woken up in the middle of the night. After we called and complained and after what seemed like forever, finally some hotel staff came up to break up the party. It was easily 3:30 in the morning before everything quieted down. I wanted so badly to enjoy my weekend vacation, I really did. I booked here so I could have a memorable experience with my husband, and while it was memorable, it was for all the wrong reasons. I would have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel if not for this one huge glaring disappointment.
“Don't waste your money here.”
We were shocked at how small the room was. The King size bed was the width of the entire room. There was room for only one suitcase. Cement floors only had a couple of rugs, cement walls, and cement ceiling with pipes showing. It was so cold; the thermostat would not go above 71 degrees. The bathroom was open at the top for all the heat to escape when you showered and smells escaped when someone had to use the bathroom. No bathtub only a shower with a hand held sprayer which water trickled out of. Every night we were awoke by dogs barking. It seems every guest had a dog or two. So if you have dogs this is the motel for you! There was NO complimentary breakfast. You had to use their restaurant if you wanted breakfast. I had to use the iron and the iron board would not set up right, it was crooked, and there were many stains on it. I had to use a towel to cover the iron board. They only had one computer for all the guests to use, and the fax machine was broken. No microwave, no refrigerater. For the high price of the cost of the room, we didn't get much. This was one of the worst motels we have ever stayed in, in the 40 years of traveling we have done. We stayed here over the Christmas holiday, and we only saw, at the most, 30 cars in the parking lot. This hotel had 5 floors of rooms. Now we know, why there weren't more people staying here! Don't waste your money here!! There are so many more new hotels/motels in this area!
