“A bit overpriced”
Be prepared to pay for parking, two bottles of water, and internet connection, even if you do not use it.
“This is a fabulous hotel!”
This hotel appears to be faily new. The room service was really fast. The gigantic air conditioned atrium in the centre was like being outdoors without the 106 degrees. Beds were extremely comfortable.
“Best convenience to DFW”
Fantastic place. Excellent Service. Best part is the Hertz Car Rental located at the hotel. DFW is a nightmare. Having to take the shuttle to the Car Rental Location is terrible but even worse is trying to drive into and out of DFW. The solution is the Gaylord Texan. Take a cab to the Gaylord, pick up the rental there, drop it off there and take the shuttle to DFW. LOVE IT
“Can't wait to go back”
This was our first trip to the Gaylord Texan Resort for a romantic getaway. Our room had a balcony on the 9th floor with a great view of the nearby lake. The staff was friendly and helpful when my wife and I had questions. There are many places to sit down with a nice drink and have good conversation with people and the outdoor fireplaces provided a nice treat for the cool nights. We will be going back during the Christmas Holidays with the kids.
“Great surroundings that helped make our trip a success!”
Our recent stay at the Gaylord Texan was outstanding. We were greeted by courteous staff members and assisted throughout our stay graciously. Having the confidence of a quality hotel added to the enjoyment of our trip to Texas. Not only were the accomondations fabulous but the variety of interests close by was a plus for our family members to enjoy time doing what they liked best. We will be choosing this hotel again and again!
“Small town in a dome”
Everything you'd like in a hotel including eateries, nightclub, fitness areas, jogging trails and lake views. Nice getaway from the cities nearby. You definitely pay for the convenience, however.
“A GREAT TASTE OF TEXAS - I ALREADY RECOMMENDED IT!”
My husband and I stayed one night for our 10th Anniversary - it is an extremely romantic hotel with great Texas flair! We had such a wonderful stay we have already recommended it to a few people out of town.
“Great hotel!”
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Gaylord Texan! We're looking forward to staying there again next year.
“Very good”
Good staff. Convenient. Clean. Good restaurants.
“Incredible Anniversary Hideaway!”
My husband and I stayed at the Gaylord Texan to celebrate our wedding anniversary - and it was an excellent choice! The staff was friendly and quick to help, everything was very clean and immaculate! Our room was standard, but well decorated and charming. Although it's so close to the DFW airport, while inside the hotel, you didn't hear the constant air traffic - that was a plus. You literally feel like you are somewhere else when you go to the Gaylord - it was a great staycation for us, and we definitely plan on making this a yearly event. I highly recommend sitting on the deck at the Glass Cactus at sunset - their staff were also very friendly and prompt. The food at the Gaylord was good, wine selection excellent, and the grounds are gorgeous. I particularly like the fact that the resort is set back from the main roads - unlike the Great Wolf Lodge nearby that is there for all to see, the Gaylord is secluded with winding roads that lead up to it. It had a good resort feel to it - similar to resorts we have visited in other countries. Overall, we were very pleased with our visit.
