Amazing stay but very nosey outside. The street is busy and fun during the day but hard to sleep at night. The hotel itself is big and beautiful and full of life!! Would stay again but on another side

The Adolphus is a gorgeous, historic hotel. It's unfortunate that when Marriott acquired it, it did not renovate the rooms to the level the hotel deserved. Unlike the gorgeous areas in the lobby, tea area, restaurants, and bars, the rooms themselves were decorated with a hodgepodge of furnishings that looked like they were randomly acquired from a hotel furnishings discount emporium. The carpet and the headboard were particularly upsetting. Small details like a hissing toilet and a 1" projection of the bathroom faucet over the basin were particularly annoying- but I chose the Adophus knowing I didn't love the room decor. On the pleasant side, the bed was very comfortable and so they get points for that. The QR code for the dining menu is fine, but unfortunately there are abbreviations and zero description for what you are ordering and so the steel-cut oatmeal I ordered felt like it had milk in it and it took me some time (not being able to get a hold of room service) to determine that there was indeed oat milk in it, which was found by finally speaking to a manager, Donna, who was delightful. Descriptions must be added to the in-room dining menu! The steak and frites I had in the ground floor area were delicious. Dontrell, my server was also wonderful. Despite the decor in the room and the in-room dining snafu, I would stay at this hotel again for the absolute gorgeousness of the remainder of the hotel, it's walkability to the JFK site and other sites.

The noisy was ridiculous!!! The windows were filthy and no sound protection at all. The pillows had absolutely no body to them. Overall the worst hotel experience I've ever had in my life. Not to mention $3,000 for 3 nights I have zero interest in ever visiting Dallas because of this experience!!!

Overall, good stay. Comfortable bed and room. Lukewarm water in the shower for the full stay which was unfortunate. Called downstairs a couple times to let them know the shower situation, but it was never fully hot. Also, very noisy on street during evenings and we could clearly hear loud car noise from the 10th floor.

This was our first time staying at this hotel, and it certainly won't be the last. The valet parking garage entrance is chaotic, just being honest, but once you actually enter the hotel, the vibes are on point. It smells fabulous. The front desk is super friendly. The rooms are clean with great showers. Their French restaurant was delicious, and yummy drinks (including mocktails for expecting mama's like me) and most importantly, a good night's sleep.

It was a very expensive property and after arriving we found out that the plumbing and water would be off from 11pm-5am. And then I had an ice cold shower. Honestly the price was around $400/night and should have been around $125.

The view from room 334 looks out over the top of a lower level and the side of the building. There is no light and no view of the city. It was like staying in your grandmother's basement room. There was also no bathtub, only a shower, so it was a lot like being in the military. The staff at the desk were rude and unprofessional.

The Adolphus Hotel is a beautiful example of what a hotel stay should be. The gorgeous wood paneling, fireplaces, original tile floors, and furnishings transport you to a different, more luxurious time in our history. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful. Pedro went above and beyond anything we could have imagined- he not only personally escorted us to the Rodeo Bar so we could find it, but he also gave us a history lesson to boot. We will DEFINITELY stay here again.

Fantastic room. The hotel is older but that’s part of the charm. Maintenance seems fair for its age. The decor is modern and staff is pleasant. My one complaint is that the room doors rattle the whole wall when we or the neighbors exit.

Very classy hotel; used their shuttle to a restaurant and service was great and pickup was quick; front desk staff very snotty re us using Expedia booking; valet personnel were very nice, but car retrieval at checkout took FOREVER and when we got car, our cooler had been turned over (bc of erratic driving ?????) and entire car was soaked; hot water in shower was almost non-existent
