This hotel has everything you might want. The food was great. The room comfortable. The location ideal. And, the staff....was over-the-top excellent. An example is.... I went to a concert at Rittvik (Dahalla, a MUST go to) and the staff borrowed me 100 krona and gave me a blanket to use as it was chilly out. They were there whenever you needed them in all circumstances. I would stay here again, ABSOLUTELY.

Very friendly staff, 5 second check-in, clean room, limited but good menu, great breakfast, wi-fi, and endless free coffee/tea in the foyer. I suggest some of the larger hotels and chains come and see how things should be done.
I've stayed in hundreds of hotels but this is the only review that I have written
Thank you for the stay

Tällberg is a Swedish pearl, nestling by Lake Siljan. While the village has more hotels than anything else, it is not "touristy", nor is Åkerblads. Some of the rooms are in the main building, parts of which are 400+ years old, others are in annexes in the garden. But this does not mean that guests are consigned to second class accommodation (though it might be a bit inconvenient for the less fleet of foot if it was bucketing down with rain!). The restaurant is large and of high quality. We went for the Summer table d'hote, which was excellent. The wine prices were sadly way beyond our reach, but the "Tällbärs" lager was good.
