“Brilliant”
Would highly recommend this hotel - fantastic stay.
“Dahab May12 - Wonderful!”
This hotel is fantastic. Excellent condition, the ambience was wonderful and great for relaxation. Lobby is a nice place to chill to access the WIFI and has a good cafe with gourmet coffees and beverages. The outside bar and Shisha lounge overlooking the pool and sea is the best view in town and perfect for evening socialising with very comfy seating. The rooms were surprising well-kept and excellent condition, good clean bathroom with a tub and a separate shower and each room had a private terrace. Breakfast was good value with everything you need and the beach restaurant was also good although a tad pricey! Not sure about dinner as went to Dahab town every night as that is more lively and cheaper. They had three pools (one shallow for kids, one with saltwater so you could float and one normal chlorine one!) all clean and well proportioned. Used the steam and sauna which was also good and they had tennis courts that were ok too! Great Hotel and would recommend it whether for a couple or those with Children, Spa is due to open in a few months which is the only thing it lacks. Will definitely return as it looked better than the Hilton & Mercure
“Un superbe hotel dans un cadre grandiose”
Luxueux, moderne et calme, peut être un peu trop parfois De magnifiques récifs de coraux et des centaines de poissons à portée de palmes depuis la plage Un environnement superbe, le Sinai qui tombe dans la mer rouge Mériterait deux restaurants pour varier les plaisirs Très bien sous tous rapports
“Le Meridien Dahab”
This was our 3rd visit to Le Meridien Dahab which in itself must be a form of reccomendation. The hotel offers everything for the more relaxed type of atmospere, it's quiet, completely stress free, the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The views are fantastic and the swimming pools are kept in immaculate condition. For the more active amongst us there are also ample watersports activities which include diving, snorkelling, and wind surfing to mention just a few. I'm looking forward to my 4th visit next year by which time they will have operned their new spa facillity.
“Lovely holiday”
Faultless hotel keen to go back. Pity the Restaurant was booked up every night. There was an evening set buffet but a bit pricey. One of the best hotels in the world tyat i|'ve stayed at and great value for B and B stay.
“Dahab's best hotel”
My family and I (5 of us, including 3 children) spent a week at the Le Meridien during the Easter holidays. I had originally booked 2 superior rooms, but we were immediately upgraded to deluxe seaview rooms on arrival, which was a pleasant, and welcome, surprise. The hotel had a very laid-back atmosphere and was very peaceful. All of the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout, and were readily available when needed. Four of us went diving for 3 full days, and it was brilliant to have a diving centre (Poseidon Divers) on site and a kid's club (for our 6 year old daughter) right next door! Most of the dives were from the hotel's own jetty, from where it was also easy to snorkel to the house reefs. I cannot comment on the hotel food apart from breakfast, because we ate in town every day, but the buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. All in all, we loved the hotel, and would readily return.
“Mr”
Just returned from a fantastic 9-night break in Dahab (brilliantly hot, but more than we expected for October - generally 38, but 45 deg. one day!). The small town has grown, but isn't much changed in character since our last visit in 2004 - very laid back (and not at all like Sharm!!!). Le Meridien Dahab Resort is hard to fault - the layout is perfect, the rooms (ours was deluxe) quite stunning and the 5 pools beautiful. Service level is very high - with bar and restaurant prices to match - although the food has its critics for a 5* establishment (we ate in town most evenings - good variety and much cheaper - take the free shuttle bus in at 20:30, back at 22:30, but you need to book a couple of days earlier! [There's another bus in the morning.] The walk to the beach is down a long flight of very attractive steps (or a much longer roadway) and is a bit of a disappointment, as it's gritty, rather than the fine sand beach at the Hilton Resort (where we stayed last time). However, you can snorkel off the beach, or from the end of the well-made jetty across the coral, from where boats depart for various activities, including diving with the in-house dive school (Poseidon). We were a little disappointed by the inability of the satellite TV to provide coverage of a Formula One Grand Prix, and being asked for $60 to access our (empty) room before 10am (the BA flight from LGW getting you to the hotel at 7am!). Car organised by the hotel was excellent - and good value at $45 e.w.
“best resort in dahab”
thanks expedia for this wonderful deal. the hotel was lovely. i did quite a bit of research in planning this trip and i must say le meridien is probably the best resort in dahab. all rooms had view of water. there were restaurants on site or you could take their shuttle or taxi into town. they had padi dive center on site as well as other services for water recreation. the staff was very accommodating. most evenings we would just go down to the beach and relax on the lounge sofas and have drinks/food.. all in all, very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. would highly recommend.
“Good hotel”
Very comfortable, nice food and a great stay. The hotel is modern was less than half full, the service was excellent.
“Good Dahab Hotel”
We've just come back from spending 8 nights at this gem of a hotel. Staff are super friendly, nothing is too much trouble and resort rooms are definitely value for the price. The hotel runs twice daily shuttles to town but we opted on a number of occasions to catch a taxi to the centre of town - about 10 minutes by car for 30ep (approx $6 AUD). Whilst having to commute to town may seem a downside, this resort has it's own beach, is spread out and offers more facilities and room than those clustered along the beachside in Dahab. For a relaxing stay would definitely recommend this hotel.
