“Second Home Cusco is the Best!”
Carlos and the rest of the Second Home Cusco staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They made our stay in Cusco one to remember!
“Great stay in Cusco!”
Second Home Cusco was exactly what we were looking for - affordable, charming and well-run. I would definitely go back.
“I'd definitely stay here again”
What a nice little bed and breakfast! This is the most friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. We spent a week with Carlos and his staff and we were treated like family. They fried us eggs for breakfast every morning. They gave us advice on what to see and where to go. They arranged private tours for us when we wanted to go out and visit the Sacred Valley. Toward the end of our trip, we took a train to Machu Picchu and were trapped there by floods and landslides. We managed to call Carlos and he was wonderful. He held our room for six days. When we finally were rescued by helicopter, Carlos welcomed us back and let us keep our room until we could arrange alternate transportation (we had missed our flight home). After being stranded for six days near Machu Picchu, coming back to Second Home Cuzco and its warm and welcoming staff truly felt like coming home to family. Thanks to all of you! We'll never forget you!
“Lovely stay”
We loved our stay at Second Home and really regret not being able to stay longer. The suite was very spacious, with two separate rooms and a separate bathroom. This was great for us after a long hike out in Macchu Picchu, for us to be able to have room to stretch out, relax, dry out our clothes, and repack for the trip back to the States. The bedding was amazing - so soft and warm. The artwork was really interesting to look at and added a nice touch to the rooms. The suites were very clean and stylish, with fresh flowers on the coffee table. Second Home was just a really relaxing stay - everything we wanted was there or the staff got for us (converter, blowdryer in room, multiple electric sockets, extra space heater in the room just in case, plenty of hangers, cable tv, wonderful breakfast, map of the areas, taxis.) They also offered complimentary taxi back to the airport, which was I think a really nice touch (not all hotels do this.) Carlos the proprietor was extremely nice as well; we are truly sorry we couldn't have spent more time with him at his B&B. I also appreciated that the staff stayed up waiting for us to let us into the B&B, even though we checked in pretty late (around 11pm or so). Definitely would recommend and definitely would return back here if back in Cusco. We stayed at a range of 3-4* hotels in Lima, Cuzco, and Aguas Calientes, and this was definitely the best in experience.
“Great place to stay in Cusco”
No surprises - we were picked up at the airport, as promised. Our suite was tastefully done and the location is far enough from the square that there isn't a lot of noise. The hotel is up on a hill, but we could and did walk to the square and the cathedrals. Our host also arranged for transportation to take the train to Machu Picchu and get picked up and returned to the hotel after our trip, allowing us to store some of our luggage, so we didn't have to take it to Machu Picchu with us. Each morning, they provided a hearty breakfast, even though our pick ups were very early, first to catch the perurail to Machu Picchu and again to go to the airport for our flight leaving Cusco. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodation and the service provided.
“A welcome escape”
This is a small B&B - only three rooms. So you get very personalised service and the owner/manager goes out of his way (literally - to the airport) to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I stayed here on a return visit to Cusco. The place - or at least the touristy parts of it - can get a bit much with its hawkers and traffic and I was looking for a refuge to which I could escape after the hustle and bustle of the day. Second Home did not disappoint, and its location in the artsy San Blas district means that, at the same time, you are not too far from some interesting shops and restaurants and some great views over the city.
“Very friendly; loved our stay.”
We stayed at Second Home our last two nights in Cuzco and we were very pleased. It's located close to Place de Arms in a quite neighbourhood. The owner, Carlo's was very friendly and personable, which made the stay even more pleasant. It's a smaller hotel with only 4 rooms which allows for great service. The breakfast was delicious. Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh coffee, eggs, and fresh bread; delivered daily at 7am...yum! We loved our stay here and if we ever go back to Cuzco we would stay at Second Home for sure & would recommend this hotel to all our friends and family!
“Excellent Stay”
The owners are a great, friendly couple and they are eager to help. We had a great stay in a lovely room and they set us up with places to eat and tours. We would definately recommend to stay here.
“Can't wait to go back!”
This was our honeymoon. The room was wonderful. The beakfast was delicious. The staff were helpful. We would love to go back!
“They Will Take Very Good Care of You”
The folks at Second Home made me feel right at home. They were very accomodating. They came to the airport to pick me up. They had a sign with my name on it and stood right outside baggage check, so I never worried about getting lost. Due to airplane mechanical errors, my arrival time changed 3 times and each time I called to tell them, they were patient and understanding even though I called at 2am the last time the flight changed. The airlline lost my bags, and the folks at Second Home took the claim from me and called and followed up with the airline while I was out hiking the Inca Trail. They drew maps to where I needed to be, explained how to avoid getting cheated and just made sure that I had a wonderful visit. You'll love this place. I'd highly recommend it.

Cusco, Peru: The Old and the New World intersect in Cusco: This fair city was remade in the image of Spain after conquistadors crushed the Inca in the 1500s.
