“Cusco”
Good hotel in beautiful old building. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would happily stay here again.
“Perfect spot in Cusco”
Very close to the highlights of Cusco and an oasis of comfort and quiet from the busy streets. The building is of great historic interest and authenitically renovated to preserve the history. The service was top notch in every way. And, on top of all this, a great value. We highly recommend this Novotel.
“Loved this hotel”
This hotel is beautiful, and in one of the cutest neighborhoods I have ever been!
“Excellent location-Fabulous chef”
Just a couple of blocks from the magical central plaza of Cuzco, this hotel is a great pick. New rooms may be a little bit noisy (the ones looking at the internal garden).Rooms on the old section upstairs are just gorgeous and quiet.
“Excellent stay in Cusco”
The Novotel was perfect for our trip to Cusco. The hotel service was excellent and really geared towards the early and late departures and arrivals that go with travel to Machu Picchu. The hotel registration form anticipated our Machu Picchu visit and included two check in dates, one on initial arrival in Cusco and a second on return, after spending a night away in Aguas Calientes. Breakfast was available from 4 am for those taking the early train. After our very late return from Machu Picchu we were offered room service, which was very welcome. One of our travel companions suffered some initial altitude sickness and the hotel provided very prompt attention, including oxygen and a doctor. The enclosed courtyard in the centre of the hotel was a very pleasant place to relax and we ate there on two occasions. Our standard room was a smaller version of the larger colonial rooms around the courtyard and was nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The rooms behind the courtyard area were more conventional contemporary hotel rooms, but still looked fine. The location is great, just a short walk to the Plaza de Armas and the many restaurants and shops there. It was barely a five minute taxi ride to the Machu Picchu departure point. Overall, very satisfied with the quality and value.

“Hotel stayover enroute to Machu Picchu from Lima”
This is a beautiful colonial hotel situated conveniently just off the main town square in central Cuzco. It is very conveniently located to restaurants, shops, Cuzco Cathedral, and The Inca museum and museum of Precolumbian art. The rooms are contemporary and very clean. The bathrooms meet the expectations of even the most discerning Western traveler. My king bed was very comfortable and the room was equipped with a personal safe. The hotel has a novel architecture with the central courtyard of this colonial mansion covered by a transparent glass roof to allow use during incliment weather. Our stay came with daily breakfast included with the price. The breakfast buffet was complete with dinner meats, fresh eggs and the typical Continental pastries, juices etc. The staff are predominantly handsome and polite younger men who truly maintain a professional demeanor. The only drawback was that we utilized the travel service recommended by the hotel. The agent was disorganized, aloof and we spent a great deal of time trying to solidify our arrangements to go to Machu Picchu. Call the hotel in advance and confirm that there is no strike as the frequent strikes can cancel out travel arrangements to Machu Picchu.
“Can't wait to go back”
It was the perfect place to stay in Cusco. Location, room, and the lovely breakfast in the courtyard. Service was outstanding.
“Machu Picchu adventure through Cusco”
The hotel was easy to get to from the airport. It's located near the center of the city. It's located on a quiet street. The hotel is unassuming from the front but is wonderful on the inside. It's clean and well kept. The attendants are very helpful. The rooms are clean. The showers are great, especially after checking out the city and Machu Picchu all day. The breakfast was good. Overall, Novotel is a hotel I'd recommend in Cusco.
“Novotel Hotel - Cusco - May 2012”
The hotel is on a narrow street with room for only one car, and you would never know that this wonderful hotel is located there until you stop in front of the doors. As soon as we came in the hotel, they had us sit down and gave us coca tea to help adjust the altitude. They quickly assisted us to our very nice room. The staff was extremely helpful. They even made it easy for us check a bag for days while we were hiking the Inca Trail. When we returned it was as if we never left. They have a very nice breakfast buffet beginning at 4:30am and their restaurant is very good too. In addition you are only 2 blocks walking distance from the main plaza in Cusco. I'm not sure if I will ever get back to Cusco, but if I do, I would book this hotel.

Cusco, Peru: The Old and the New World intersect in Cusco: This fair city was remade in the image of Spain after conquistadors crushed the Inca in the 1500s. This colonial heritage is most evident at the Plaza de Armas, home to three baroque churches. To see the vestiges of the Incas, pass through the bohemian enclave of San Blas in the hills above central Cusco, and head north to the Sacsayhuaman fortress.
