“We will return!!!”
We had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a good location for other restaurants and a grocery store is a five minute walk where you can get bottled water and fresh fruit. The only complaint my wife had was the cleaning staff would only leave three wash clothes despite daily tips. The man-made beach is small but the salt water pool with a sand floor was great. It is a great get-a-way when you just want to relax.
“Relaxing”
We had a wonderful time and the hotel conditions were excellent. The man made beach was a concern at first but proved to be very relaxing and tolerable. After visiting the natural beaches with their rocky coastlines it was even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this island and this hotel to anyone just wanting to get away and vedge out for a week.
“I would stay at this hotel if I go back & want to be in the City.”
If you want to stay in the heart of the City, this is the hotel. The service was that of a 5 star hotel. They had everything you could ask for & I found everyone most helpful and gracious and I am tough to please. The only thing I will point out is that making reservations make sure you are sure of the room you are choosing. Some of the rooms overlook the interior of the hotel. I requested not to be booked in this type of a room and they were able to accommodate me which I was very pleased.
“sfgal”
Enjoyable experience.
“Loved Hotel, Hated Fake Beach”
Hotel and staff were great. i was there during the World Cup and Flag Day, so there was a lot of "activityy" and "buzz" around the hotel and town. Only complaint is the man-made infinity beach on the property, it was a complete let down. So, to make the best of it, I took the local bus to a different beach and had a blast. I would recommend the location because you have easy walking access to Wilmstead and just walking around and hanging out with the local people was great. Make sure you get an ocean view room, otherwise you overlook either the street (not so bad, I would think) or worse the "atrium" which is just a large empty space.
“Perfect Location at Curacao”
This hotel is perfectly located, near the main attractions, restaurants and shops. The pool area is very beautifull
“Great vacation getaway!”
We stayed at Renaissance Curacao and it was wonderful! The resort is colorful and charming and located on the waterfront near the cruise port and shops. The casino was fun, the spa was relaxing, and the people and service were great! They have a sandy beach and a pool on the second floor of the shopping mall. It was hard to imagine until I saw it, but it was great and overlooked the ocean and cruise ships. It even had starfish along the bottom! The room was a good size, the furniture was beautiful and had a fridge and coffeemaker, and we had an ocean room with a balcony and ocean view. It is next door to the Rif Fort which has been converted to shops, cafes and restaurants. We also walked over the pontoon bridge to downtown Willemstad. The architecture is beautiful and there are lots of restaurants and shops along the waterfront. There is a mix of things to do. We had some history and also day trips for scuba diving or just to visit other beaches on the island. We had a fantastic visit. The resort is close enough to town with dining and nightlife, but has a tropical resort feel with the beach and pool. We would definitely recommend it and go again!
“I was living in a brochure”
My vacation to Curacao was like living in a brochure. The hotel was fantastic. The service was geat and all of the staff were extremely friendly. Curacao is the most beautiful place I have ever seen, The water is so blue I could stand in water up to my chin and see my toenail polish. The sand is white like powder and never gets hot. I cannot wait to go back next year.
“Curacao Spring Break”
The hotel had lots of terrific amenities and they did all of the "big" things right. However, there were lots of small things (no washclothes left in room even after numerous requests) that were an annoyance. The hotel seemed to have more of a business center feel than that of a resort. Yet the smaller crowd and location of the hotel more than made up any difference. We would definitely stay there again.
“Great island secret”
I had never heard of Curacao let alone considered visiting and what a pleasant surprise. Expedia's package to the island was great price wise. The Renaissance Hotel was the best in cleanliness, service and location. We were centrally located to shopsand restaurants. Although the islands beaches were far out (reached by car) the hotel did a good job with its man made beach area.
