A great hotel for an overnight stay and a short visit to Carlisle. Very polite, friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Great value for money. I would happily stay again.

Good reception area, very good foyer area and bar. Staff amazing, great breakfast choice. Will return. I think Noble deserves a special mention, amazing staff member.

Good base for cycling Hadrian's Wall
We used the hotel as a base while cycling Hadrian's Wall. Started at the hotel and caught a train to Maryport, stayed again on the way through Carlisle, and then caught a train back from South Shields and stayed again, leaving our car at the hotel. Very convenient location for anyone walking or cycling Hadrian's Wall. Breakfast was a buffet, with plenty of choice. The 3 rooms we had all faced the carpark and were quiet. There was space to leave our bikes inside, which was handy.

Comfortable city hotel
Cozy room with comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Hotel has its own private parking and is in a good location for walking into the city centre, yet away from the bustle of the city.

Nice, hotel with a good amplacement from the town center. Friendly and helpfull staff. Good cleaning and nice decoration. However I think you should probably give more details about how to get to the parking area. Overall, that was a good experience!

Sadly the Cumbria Park Hotel has got a bit shabby since we last stayed about 4 years ago. The carpets looked dirty and our shower didn't work.

The food for my evening meal was really disappointing. I changed the side of my salmon main to roasted garlic potatoes which came and had been microwaved and soggy yet hard in the middle, the pea shoot topping on my salmon consisted of 1 leaf. There was a fire alarm at 2 am with no presence from hotel staff for over 30 minutes no guest call and people were left outside in the middle of the night not knowing what to do. In the morning as I was running late after very little sleep I tired to call down regarding breakfast several times with no answer on the desk so I left without it. No drinking water in the room in this heat and 2 plug sockets located next to the door on the opposite side of the room to the bed.

Overview
The gull’s were vey noisy. I stopped on a very hot summer evening so the windows need to stay open. The food was excellent. I had the chicken Kiev. Top marks to the chief.

Thank you for reviewing the stay. We're delighted that you enjoyed the food during your visit. There are some gulls nesting on the roof of the hotel and the adjacent school. Unfortunately, as they are protected we cannot move them on until their chicks have flown the nest.

Very friendly staff and a convenient location for exploring Carlisle and the surrounding area. Breakfast was good, more so at the weekend. Our room needed a larger bed and an update to the bathroom.
