"Simple, clean, and friendly"
We picked this place as last minute lodging for a ski trip to WISP resort. Really can't complain about anything. It's about 25 minutes from the ski resort, so it's not that close, but it's also not too far. It's comprised of an older building - sort of like a B&B - and a motel. We stayed in the motel, although my wife was intrigued by the old building (and the restaurant there looked - and smelled - quite tasty).
Overall, especially for the price, we can't complain. It was clean and simple. The furnishings in the motel weren't fancy, and the TV was pretty old, but honestly, we didn't care that much. All we wanted was a decent, convenient, cheap place with comfortable beds, and this more than met those requirements. Moreover, the staff were unbelievably friendly. The place seems to be run by the Mennonites/Amish or something like that, and everyone with whom we interacted was just really pleasant.
We would definitely stay here again. Would stay at the motel without question, but would also consider the older building as a more interesting option. And we'll also definitely try the restaurant if we do return. During our visit, my eight-year-old daughter said, "This place isn't fancy, but it's four stars, for sure!" So that's what I'll give it. It's way better than your standard interstate exit motel, especially one run by the major chains.
