“iguanas paridise”
family oriented, quiet. distance from the city life. must have small kitchen, food is expansive and you must have time to eat. good place to rest, need car.
“Loved the Ramada grand Caymanian”
The Ramada Grand Caymanian is a great place to stay in Grand Cayman. Very clean, rather large rooms with beautiful views. It appeared that all the rooms have balconies with water views. Our only very small complaint is that it is not close to much of anything else on the island. There is a golf course a directly next door to the hotel. We have scuba'ed all over the world and I must say the dive company (Divers Down)that operates in the hotel is excellent, and the people who work for this dive company are top notch people, terrific divers, experienced and lots of fun. The dive company will pick you up and take you to your dives. If you want to go into town or visit the other beach areas, you will need to rent a car, take taxi.
“DEFINITELY will go back!”
EXCELLENT resort & service! Very clean, well-furnished! Great restaurant! Beautiful surroundings! Kind of secluded from 7 mile, very private, but still close to everything!
“Nice place to stay on the North Sound”
We used the Ramada Caymanian resort as a "day stay" on Christmas day, while waiting to go to the airport. It worked out ideally for us.
“Peaceful and Relaxing Resort”
This is a great spot for anyone who is looking to relax and be off the beaten path, yet close enough to sites and other attractions to be generally convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
“A little far away from the beach. Air conditioning not working. Maid did not come daily.”
Hotel was a little way off 7 mile beach and did not have a beach to use. It was also far away from the main highway. The air conditioning did not work well and the mgmt. never sent someone to fix it. The room, however, was spacious and comfortable and it smelled like new.
“Great room; poor location”
Overall, this hotel was great for us. The comments of others are basically correct: the beach is pitiful and access to the hotel is a bit complicated (though the iguana sightings on the route partly make up for this). As others have said, you need to rent a car; however, this is not expensive or complicated. The hotel room was spacious, well maintained, well equipped and supplied and the housekeeping excellent. The suite we rented at a very modest cost was probably close to 700 square feet.
“Not impressed”
The hotel is definately out of the way, hard to find, especially at night. But we knew that and wanted the peace and quiet away from 7 mile beach. The hotel was very quiet at night, people were friendly (except the front desk,, only one gal was friendly and the manager). The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with all the things you need to cook meals in every night. The "beach" is not really a beach at all, rather a pier to walk out on and enjoy the view. The area was very rocky. I love the hammocks they had out, there wasn't anyone ever in them, so we had them all to ourselves the whole week we were there. Not many people were at the hotel, which was very nice and secluded.
“Will be going back!!”
Had a wonderful time. Great Bar/Rest. on site. Rooms very nice and clean. Has own private beach with acitivities available. Hotel staff did a great job at helping find and book excursions. They took care of every detail
“Great rooms but away from the stuff!”
Very nice rooms with full kitchens and roomy rooms! Not the best location. Away from the hustle and bustle. Nice golf course. Not much of a beach and very windy on this bay/gulf side. We rented a car for our stay so it was nice to retreat back to the hotel after running around all day on the west side/diving/sailing/seven mile beaching!!!
