“Wonderful Experience”
I can not say enough good things about this hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The grounds are beautiful and the snorkeling and water setting are spectacular. The hotel is starting to show some wear, such as a leak in the main lobby during a heavy rain, so it is not for every one.
“Will go back”
excellent
“brilliant hotel”
This is a fantastic place - relaxed and friendly, with great service, and probably the best place on Tobago to stay.
“Would have given five stars if ...”
Initial first impression when entering hotel is very good. The design of lobby entrance is spacious and very tropical with view on Caribbean sea. The Cuban art displayed throughout the hotel is fantastic. After staying a few days we noticed that hotel is not maintained as well as it should. What is missing is attention to detail. Food in restaurant was tasty with nice presentation. Restaurant service while great gave us impression that restaurant staff (waiters and busboys) are not happy that they are there, maybe they were stressed out or maybe not properly trained. They did not create atmosphere of us being welcomed. On other hand reception staff was great and friendly.
“Amazing Caribbean Experience”
Awesome experience. Wonderful ocean view in our "Deluxe Upper Ocean View" room. Great sand... clear and calm waters... great weather the whole week. Snorkeled with many beautiful fish and squid in the private CocoReef bay. Found a local tour guide for the island and witnessed amazing, beautiful island nature. Overall, the island culture was warm, helpful and laid-back. Highly recommended!
“Convenient, fun, relaxing”
The hotel's location makes you feel isolated from the rest of the world but still within walking distance to other wonderful beaches and eating places (both cheap and pricey establishments). It's private lagoon offers a wonderful beach for young children and it's range of water sports ensures that you're never bored...you can even snorkel in the lagoon and see some colourful fishes. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is luxurious but laid back & relaxing. The rooms are clean and comfortable but could do with some updating. Ground floor ocean view rooms don't have very much of an ocean view though. Also, the property could do with some better maintenance e.g. cleaner pool and some leaks in the main lobby and Bacchanals beach restaurant need to be fixed. Service is good - friendly and efficient staff. Have stayed here on 4 occasions and have no major complaints.
“Review”
Very good located in Crown Point, close to Pigeon Point. The beach is separated from the sea by a wall of stones, making it more a pool (although with access to open sea) than open water. Good breakfast.
“coco reef hotel”
hotel, beach very good located. AC old with old filter, bad air in room
“Not impressed”
I had to call numerous times to get face cloth (wash cloth) because they don't put them in the room. The shower curtains were too short so when you took a shower water was every where.... The sliding door was broken...there was no iron in the room had to call down for that as well. The restaurant are over priced and you get better food going out to the locals. The hotel staff wasn't that pleasant at the front desk. Over all not pleased!
“Coco Reef Long Weekend”
Overall the hotel was a plesent experience. The location in Crown Point is beautiful and very relaxing. However ther are some points that need to be noted for this four star rated hotel. The rooms are dated and in need of redecorating and bringing up to standard, the alacarte menue was very dissapointing and not to be recomended at the cost. getting anything outside the alloted meal times is difficult and very slow. Some, not all, of the staff are not up to the requirements of todays luxury hotel standards. The surrounding area, with the exception of Pigeon Point, is run down and will soon take on a look of a depressed area if it is not dealt with by the Tobago authorities. Did we feel safe walking around, yes, is there anything immediately outside the hotel other than bars and cheap food outlets worth looking, not much. Hire a car and go around the island and there is much to see. Next time I go I will hire a luxury villa, they are better value for money and the views from some are exceptional. Coco Reef Hotel three stars at best!!
