“Great Week for the Family...”
Our entire family enjoyed the Melia immensely! The best part was "Bam Bam", the Kid's club with around the clock activities for our boys (6&8) directed by highly energetic Sussy. Strongly recommend a Junior Suite in the tower--so much nicer than our first room (a "deluxe" oceanview which was not at all deluxe and very damp). Loved Cafe Paraiso and the beautiful piano music!
“Enjoyed our experience”
Our family really enjoyed our stay and hated to leave. The staff was really friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Our teenagers down to our younger children had a great experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Very relaxing trip with an amazing family of staff”
We stayed at the hotel from tues-fri and did not have enough time to do everything!! There's lots of activities around the hotel for you to do. The pool bar is well-stocked from Crown Royal to Don Julio. Food: Quality of the food was bad to okay in the buffet. Ive been to vegas plenty of times and the food can not compare. Breakfast was probably the best meal, including smoothies, omelettes-on-order, and consistent good taste in other usual breakfast foods. They also had a little mexican corner with homemade flautas, taquitos and these little square things that are to die for. The dinner with the reservation was an amazing experience and a definite must-do. Service was great there and the food was pretty tasty (soup was very salty). For dessert at all the restaurants they had cheesecake (spongy cake with cream cheese mixed into the batter), churros, fried pineapple, tiramisu, and various pastries. Room: We had a garden view on the 4th floor (no elevator) which also had an ocean view in the distance. The room was musty and sticky even with the AC on 24/7. Very clean and well-kept though. Service: The best part of the trip, every staff member was friendly!! Overall, i would come again and worth every dollar i spent.
“Great All-Inclusive”
The Melia was a pretty nice hotel overall. My husband and I had gotten married there four years ago on the beach and went back to visit. The resort is all inclusive, but we did not really take advantage of the activities they offered. The food was ok, the reservations-only restaurant was nicer than the general buffet dining. The beachfront of the hotel was not as nice as I remembered, but I walked about 100 yards towards town and snorkeled in beautiful water there. Drinks were good and all the water and ice is purified for the hotel. Overall, I really like this hotel and I'd probably stay there again.
“impressed”
food variety was excellent.service was more than adequate.a real bargain.
“Best Vacation Package!”
This was by far the best vacation I have been on. The staff was wonderful and so friendly. The facility was so well kept and so clean. The layout of the resort was spacious to where you didn't feel too crowded. The food was great and offered a great variety. I would definitely recommend this and stay here again!
“Service was great”
This hotel is very well managed and kept very clean. Every staff member is very polite and helpful. The variety of activities and food made it a great place to stay.
“Great Experience”
We had an overall great experience at the Melia. The hotel employees were friendly and helpful. The food was good, a lot of variety. Initially, this was the thing I was most worried about due to some reviews I had read but I really have no complaints about the food at all. I mean it's not 5 star quality but you're also not paying for that. The hotel bars are great, the beach is great and all the activities the hotel provides are also very fun. Our rooms were very clean and so was the rest of the hotel. The only warning I would give someone is about those pesky little bugs, not mosquitoes, very similar only a lot more annoying. But I guess this isn't a hotel issue, you'll probably have to worry about these bugs anywhere on the island.
“Great for kids”
The hotel is beautiful. There were non-stop activities to keep kids busy. The pools were nice, the staff was very friendly and the food was great.
“Amazing hotel/trip”
This was our first trip to Cozumel and we will definitely go back. The Melia Cozumel is an amazing place to stay. Everyone was overfriendly and spoke English very well. The view from our oceanview room was spectacular. The food was pretty good, not amazing, but good. The bars were well stocked and the drinks were amazing. Try a miami vice - strawberry daquiri and pina colado mixed - delicious. I would recommend this hotel (Melia) and Cozumel to anyone. Its great for couples, friends, families, etc.
