Horrible vacation but most the employees are trying and are nice. However, when it comes down to it…they won’t rectify a situation. I felt like I had to work part time to get the vacation I paid for. Had to ask every day for a wash cloth, mini bar to be restocked, room to be cleaned, etc. They canceled the main dinner & show while we were there with no notice and planned our evening around it. Then had to wait 45 mins for a table at 1 of the 2 places to eat that was open. The food isn’t good, my tip is to order a couple of entrees and appetizers so that you can get mostly full at least. The bartender at the TINY pool is good! We still tipped everyone as I really think it’s a management issue. Chatted with several people at resort and the general consensus was many guests were having issues….although the conversations didn’t start that way…nobody was trying to bash the resort. It was just an overall let down. Book somewhere else, I was fooled by the good reviews and wanted to give it a chance.

The hotel itself is beautiful but the dining options could be a lot better. The pizzeria and the Mayan restaurant were the best food at the hotel. The buffet is very small with not a lot of options. Some of the restaurants the portions are so small you leave still being hungry. Some nights the buffet is closed and you’re only left with a couple options from the restaurants to choose from. They do have room service with some ok food. Definitely don’t get the pizza from room service. It doesn’t compare to the pizza in the pizzeria so that was definitely disappointing. I’m not bashing the hotel because we did have a great time while we were there. Just weren’t pleased with the food options.

This was the one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in the grounds were absolutely stunning. It was like paradise. All of the staff were amazing and the area was extremely safe and beautiful highly recommend.

Dreams was beautiful but very small. Our room was an oceanfront swim up and it had the most amazing view literally steps from the ocean. If staying at this resort the ocean front buildings are the only ones I recommend. The pool was warm and the location was beyond perfect. The bed was a bit hard, but I like my bed crazy soft. The bathroom was big, clean, and no mold. The restraunts were beautiful and the food was ok. Certain dishes were delicious and others a bit bland. It is an AI after all. Their chicken mole was delicious and by far my favorite dish. The staff was awesome and really made the trip great. It is a family resort so you may be next to a family with 2 or 3 rowdy kiddos. For this reason I am not sure I would return. If they had an adults only building I absolutely would. <3. Happy travels!

There was a run on beach chairs every morning, seemingly before 6am. It was really stressful. If you didn’t get up before dawn, it was hard to find a place. I’m fairly sure I got food poisoning from the breakfast buffet. I was extremely ill for about 16 hours. It was often difficult to figure things out. Guest were more helpful than staff in a lot of cases. The property was nice enough and we appreciated the access to Sunscape and Secrets.

Nice property, Annato's restaurant was excellent but not open every day. Pizza restaurant only open for lunch, buffet was okay but not great. Only 1 pool and small beach within Dreams property, however Dreams, Secrets and Sunscape Sabor are all connected. Secrets (adults only) has the best beach and pools.

Read other reviews and I don't know what people are complaining about - rooms were spacious and clean; restaurants were great, beach area had awesome daybeds, pool was jamming, drinks were flowing all day and night, service was acceptable, had access to the gym and spa at Sunscape and other restaurants and beach area at secrets, all around a great stay.

Great service and friendly people. Specialty restaurants were very good. Only negative is the membership push (new version of time share). We were approached at airport first with “Representative of Dreams”. Told that they would arrange a ride for us but then after 5-10 min. told us only if we agreed to go to a membership presentation at Dreams. Told him that we weren’t interested and then informed us to go over to a shuttle to arrange for transportation. Then at checkin and after signing everything for the room, the checkin clerk referred us to the “concierge” who also started to offer us discounts and leisure money vouchers but finally after 5 minutes again spoke that the condition was to go see a “membership” seminar. We were exhausted and this felt like something we had to listen to instead of a bellman taking us and our luggage to our rooms. This really tarnishes your brand. The rest of the trip, the service was great. Checkin and the airport hard sell of these “memberships” really feels like we got trapped in a “time share vacation” - think South Park and time shares in Aspen.
