We chose the perfect spot in Tarragona. The hotel is very nice, with a good breakfast buffet. But it’s the location that is its greatest asset, clise to both beach and city centre. Leaving the car parked for the duration of our visit, we would walk the beach in the morning and then stroll into the city centre during the day. The Roman sites are splendid. Don’t miss out on the aqueduct just outside the city. Tarragona is not to be missed.
Location, location, location. Staff is super nice and room was comfortable.

The location is perfect for exploring Tarragona. The property is pretty much centrally placed amongst every historically significant site in the city. It is only about 4 blocks (uphill) from the city train station. The breakfast selection is reasonable and the coffee is excellent.
Perfect location to explore Tarragona. Short walk from the seaside train station. (High speed train is a few kilometres inland from the city) situated at the sea- end of La Rambla it is quite central to all the historic Roman and medieval sites. Dining options are endless and the market is 4-5 blocks away.
Very good place. We enjoyed a lot the pool.
The only bad point we had was at checkout.
The receptionist didn't seem to want to talk to us. She was dealing with people who arrived after us, so she asked them who was there before and these customers did mention that we were there before, but she ignored.
We had to ask her to take care of us because she was doing something else instead and left us waiting.
She was not very friendly, but only with us. She had a good laugh taking care of other customers (who arrived after us).
I did not appreciate this lack of respect at all.
Nice hotel. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Short walk to the old town and other attractions. Many restaurant choices around. I will stay in this hotel again.
I enjoyed the hotel, although it’s hard to find parking and people will need to use the garage but other than that the hotel is strategically located around many restaurants , shops, historical place . I recommend it
This was a great place to stay only there for 1 night lots of restaurants right outside the door. Would like to come back again and stay longer to see more sights. Beach looked great.
The Hotel Lauria is in an excellent location (on Rambla Nova, easy walk to train station, beach, Roman ruins, shopping, old town, etc.). It meets the basic needs (bed, bathroom, wifi, desk) but is not fancy and is a bit worn.
The best for the hotel is the location. Close to all the historical places in Tarragona. There is many restaurants and bars around just 5min walking away. Even McDonslds if you prefere fastfoods. In minus very thin walls between the rooms (in old part of the hotel) so you'll be able almost to join "party" in the bed next to your rom 😉.
Also the bar in the lobby was close (but maybe due to Covid19).
The furnitures in the room as well as most of surfaces in the rom was a bit "ate by tooth of the time flowing", but the board or the floor surface in old style are just making the place more "climatic".
For short stay I can strictly recommand and I will com back when I'll stay in Tarragona :)
Soundproof room ??? Room 209. Woken up at 4.30am by next door coming in. Stayed here before in anorher room abd was very quiet. Husband had been at hospital all day and we were hoping fir a quiet recuperating stay.
Great hotel in beautiful Tarragona. Clean and modern in a historic building. Accommodated our room request despite late reservation. Public parking available across the street, and lots of restaurants around.
This was a beautiful historic building in the middle of the old town area, with a short walk to many attractions. We got the no-frills economy room, which was just as stated. Clean and convenient. We would definitely return to this establishment.
Hotel is undergoing a major renovation. Construction dust and debris everywhere. Only offered ground floor rooms which were dated and dark. Location is excellent and the hotel has the potential to be something special - perhaps when construction is completed.
Great location,
Very quiet for such a central location.
Beautiful view of port and sea from balcony.
Good breakfast.
Clean room
Toiletries could have been better a dispenser on the wall would been ok on the standard room but I expected a little more when paying extra for the deluxe/superior room.
No iron in room (had to ask at reception) no kettle or even a fridge (there was a gap where the fridge should have been).
It was a great stay. We loved Tarragona and the location was perfect. The room was nice and the staff was helpful. Our only complaint was the noise from the room above us. They seemed to be moving furniture and walking the floor.
Great hotel for a few nights as perfect location for Tarragona sightseeing in old town, just by the Balcon, and 10 minutes easy walk to the train station for trains to Barcelona (1hr -1hr 20mins, €16.10 return). Underground secure Carpark is opposite hotel & have special hotel rates of €13.50/24hr period (you stamp your car park ticket in the hotel after parking, on check in). We had hotel breakfast as easier than locating a cafe and it was v nice, more fruit would be nice but otherwise perfect set up for the day. Only downfall of the hotel were the room doors would not close without slamming because of the handle set up so could be noisy depending on other guests & their bed times (Spanish stay up v late!).
Opposite hotel was excellent restaurant, upstairs in Cappuccino, beautiful and food wonderful, 3 course & bottle of wine €33/ couple incl.
