Lovely quiet setting, with wonderful hosts. A choice of B&B and self contained cottage/apartments. Accommodation was very comfortable and absolutely spotless. Hosts are friendly and can't do enough to make you feel at home. Complimentary cream tea on arrival was gorgeous and the Cornish breakfast (with hogs pudding) an absolute treat. If you book a self contained cottage you don't have to miss out on this breakfast as all the makings can be provided by Barbara. Just don't ask for her scone recipe though as it is her other half Mark who is responsible for those.

Excellent hotel with views of the Porth Bay, well located for commuting to other areas of Cornwall. Good value for money and heated outdoor pool is a nice touch. Well maintained property and gardens. The holiday was so good, the only minor things I could comment on are the stairs to the second floor, and the wardrobe doors didn't close properly, but not really a complaint. I would have rated the hotel 4 stars and would definitely recommend

We stayed here for a single night en route to a week in the Isles of Scilly. The hotel is positioned close to the Isles of Scilly ferry, however it was also handy for Sea front and Penzance Center. The hotel is nicely furnished, has excellent facilities and the room was very comfortable. Our room was described as having a restricted view, we were able toclearly see St Micheals mount. Not a bad "restricted" view at all! The staff were wonderful, we arrived with our 3mnth old son. They made up a cot for him quickly, and loaned us a baby monitor. This was unexpected and allowed us to enjoy dinner in their restaurant. Although this is obviously beneficial for them, my wife and I felt it was a nice touch. The restaurant was nicely appointed with attentive staff. The food was exceptional; but I'll make no bones about it it was expensive. The breakfast in the morning, included in the price was also very good. In summation a fantastic hotel, lovely staff and for us on this occasion in a good location. The downsides are price and the car parking is extremely limited. I would highly recommend for a special "break away" for couple.

This is much more than a B & B, very stylish. There really is nothing to fault about this lovely place, from the great room, location, gorgeous house to the wonderful homemade fresh breakfasts with freshly baked muffins and specials each morning like potato pancakes, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs which I had. One morning it was spanish omelette. Freshly squeezed orange juice, no cartons here. An honesty bar to help yourself to good quality wines and beers etc. A gorgeous garden to sit and catch the last rays of the sunshine. We thought this place was fabulous, we came especially to go to Rick Steins Seafood restaurant which was great too. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Padstow.
