“Wonderful B&B”

We stayed at Goonearl Cottage in July 2010 for 4 nights. Firstly the location - it may not suit everyone but we found it to be ideal for our purposes. We wanted to be in a central location so that we could drive to all the places we wanted to see in South Cornwall - we managed to visit St. Ives, St. Michael's Mount, Land's End, Lizard Point, The Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, The Eden Project and a number of beautiful coastal paths and views all in 4 days, and they were all in close proximity. The B&B is in very pretty surroundings, and the room we had included a balcony, which was a bonus. The room was small, but clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The communal areas are great, and the breakfast was superb, including all local produce. The owners pay great attention to the details, the service was faultless and their commitment to green issues (such as their solar panels) is very impressive. The only tiny downside was there was no wifi in our bedroom, but there was in the communal areas. The beach at Porthtowan is around a 10 minute drive from the B&B. We also had a delicious meal at the local Treleigh Arms, which was recommended in the B&B information booklet.
