“Dirty and run down”

My toddler and I were visiting my husband during a fishing tournament. Men by themselves don't much care about "where" they stay, but Mom's w/their babies are a little different. I'm hesitant to ever book a 'Day's Inn' online b/c they can be so hit or miss. This one was most certainly a miss. Check in was a breeze and the staff was extremely pleasant there. It went downhill from that point. We got to our fairly spacious room to unpack and found that there was MOLDY coffee in the coffee pot (as in it was actually floating on top of the liquid!). Gross and thankfully I don't make coffee! The worst part was the non-skid mat in the shower. They should NEVER be left in the bottom of any tub, especially in a hotel. Needless to say the black muck that had accumulated beneath it was unbelievable. I finally showered after scrubbing the tub for 30 minutes, and then only while standing on top of a towel. The woman at the desk on Sat/Sun was less than helpful looking at me strange (understandably) when I brought her my disgusting coffee pot and shower mat. Of course - no manager on duty on Sat/Sun. Ridiculous. Breakfast left NOTHING to be desired and was the "minimum" continental I've experienced almost anywhere. My husband has stayed at the days in up the road in Mooresville, and gave it great reviews and even commented on how clean it was. We'll be staying THERE if we're ever in this situation again. We WILL NOT be back here. Certainly not worth the price.

“LACKING UPDATING”

DEFERRED MAINTENANCE WAS BIGGEST PROBLEM. STAYED A WEEK AND BREAKFAST BAR WAS THIN ON FRESH ITEMS. THE COMPUTER ROOM WAS NOT AIR CONDITIONED - MUST HAVE BEEN 90 INSIDE. SEEMS AS IF THEY ARE TRYING TO SAVE MONEY BY NOT RUNNING AIR.

“Old Holiday Inn”

Bathrom was in horrible shape. Sleeping area was dirty and walls yellowed from neglect. Furnishings are old, uncofortable and damaged. TV reception is terible. The worst hotel I have stayed in since my last military tent city.
