“Breezy coastal gem”
Service, location and views are exceptional. A small problem with the on-demand movies was fixed quickly and without hassle. A nice large room with private outdoor sitting area made for a breezy sense of coastal loving

place was nice but the shower is the worst i have ever had no water pressure and took 20mins b4 any hot water came through. And you really need to update and buy new pillows as they were the worst ever... but otherwise quite and nice.
“Disappointed”
I thought that Peppers operated superior hotels in Australia. The price certainly suggests this. But the value falls short so it's little wonder people are chosing to holiday overseas. The food offering was poor and expensive. The staff said it was a 40 minutes walk along the beach to the Marina with shops and restaurants. It was however more than a 40 minute walk and impractical after you've done it once (it is a lovely walk) meaning you had to use the car- inconvenient if you want a drink. We wanted to play tennis - $10 we were told. Not $10. It was $20. If you want WiFi in your room that's another $20 per day. This is a bit primitive. Are we getting to the point of airline pricing - you pay for everything in additional to the room rate - electricity, television, water usage? We usually take photos of interior views of the hotel if they are special. We didn't bother with any photos of the interior. The view of the outside of the hotel from the marina breakwater is however charming. Lovely setting, a bit remote, and overall disappointing.
“never again”
I couldn't wait to check out. The buffet breakfast was over priced. The staff weren't very helpful. they had to be asked by several patrons to top up the milk in the coffee machine, for the same price at other hotels we weren't required to make our own coffee. The room was disappointing, it didn't reflect their 4.5 star rating. The pillows were too thin, we had 4 pillows, plus 2 in the cupboard, put together they were still uncofortable. i went home with a sore neck.
