“Good affordable Copenhagen alternative”
Mostly, the Centrum was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free internet. Very close to Central train station and other city center destinations. Room was not air conditioned and it was pretty warm the night we were there. We needed to have window open and the street was noisy. A couple of prostitutes yelled at each other for hours. On the other hand the bed was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was outstanding.
“A very adequate place to stay”
The hotel staff were very helpful. The location was good because it was close to Tivoli.
“Hôtel Centrum, bon rapport qualité prix”
Hôtel confortable, bon rapport qualité prix. Petit déjeuner agréable. Chambre un peu bruyante si elle se trouve sur la grande rue.
“Better than I expected”
Copenhagen's hotel pricing forced us to choose Centrum - the neighborhood wasn't as bad as I expected, the hotel personnel were great, breakfast was good, and the fitness club/pool was a great extra. I would certainly consider using Centrum again.
“You pay what you get.”
Since the location of the hotel is a walking distance from central station, so we bought a 24 hours public transportation ticket ($70 Khron) which allowed us to take train from airport to the central station, and with the same ticket we took buses to the sightseeing places. It is worth of paying that amount of money. The hotel room is small with very basic supply, which is ok for staying over night. The room on the street side is noisy, especially when opened it for fresh air. The breakfasf is nice. Food in Copenhagen is vey expensive.
“Good hotel for the price”
This is a reasonable hotel. Taking into account the prices in Copenhagen, this is a good deal for the price. Good breakfast anf free WiFi
“Great Location”
A comfortable hotel, lovely breakfast and a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is situated a very short walk from the station which was great for us as we tended to get trains to places up and down the coast - also a comfortable and pleasant experience compared to many UK cities. Do keep your hands on your bags at all times - there are a few handy looking characters about istegade street. We were pickpocketed on our last day, luckily they didn't get anything of major significance but still an insurance hassle. The hotels in that area are on the fringes of the red light district so you may or may not see some sights! We didn't really, it was all fairly low key. We went to use the pool a couple of times (free) at the other hotel in the group and it was lovely although my son did not really appreciate the communal naked showering both pre and post swim. My advice is this is how it's done in Denmark so if you're not comfortable with that, don't go swimming! We loved Copenhagen, especially the little beach up the coast at Klampenborg and the amusement park in the middle of the woods there. We would definitely go again and use the same hotel.
Personnel serviable. Chambre propre, petite avec mobilier succinct. Classement 3 étoiles exagéré. Chambre bruyante côté rue (quartier chaud)
“Okay”
The hotel is ok. It definitely is a cheap hotel for staying in an expensive city. We were originally assigned a room facing istegade but it was very noisy and we couldn't sleep due to the strip clubs and homeless people across the street. we requested a move and they tried very hard accommodate us and were given a room on 3rd floor facing other hotels. it was quiet and we got very good sleep. the bathrooms are a bit uncomfortable since they have standing showers separated only by a shower curtain so the bathroom c an get very messy and wet-- plus, it seemed to me like the bathroom wasn't as clean as the rest of the room. the bedding was very comfortable, but the bed was composed of two twin beds put together so that made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep with my husband... i would go back to stay if i couldn't afford a better hotel. the hotel staff were very nice and helpful and we liked them a lot! the breakast everymorning was more then adequate and a good opportunity to stuff yourself and reduce eating costs throughout the day. it was convenient as it was close to everything, we walked every where from the hotel and only took cabs when it was raining too much... overall 3.5 stars-- if you can afford a better hotel in an equally convenient location then go for it!
