“Great hotel, great location”
A nice clean hotel in a good location. Continintal breakfast as nice as it could be, and free tea and coffee all day a nice touch
“good value, good experience”
My husband and I and our 14 year old son, spent one night at Hotel Maritime, we absolutely loved it. My son even liked it better than the §270 hotel room we stayed the previous two nights in another city. The romm was small, simple, but clean and tastefully decorated. The staff were very freiendly, breakfast very good. We definitely recommend THIS HOTEL.
“Delightful stay!”
I travel frequently for work, and am always very happy to find friendly hotels such as this one, even if they don't have the amenities of the grand chains.. We stayed at the Hotel Maritime on a family vacation, and couldn't have been happier. We had a three-person room, which was a bit snug, but no worse than most European hotel rooms. The hotel staff was very helpful with local information and in obtaining a rental car. The breakfast buffet was very good - not a lot of variety, but a nice start to our days. The location was near the metro, sightseeing, and some good restaurants, and very convenient to everything else in the city.
“EXCELLENT VALUE AND GREAT LOCATION”
The Hotel Maritime is a reasonably-priced place to stay in an expensive city. We stayed pre-cruise for one night and appreciated the central downtown location of the hotel. Rooms are small and basic, but very clean and an excellent continental breakfast was included, which, given the cost of meals in Copenhagen, was a valuable bonus. We travelled on the Metro (subway) from the airport (35 Kroner - 7.00US$ pp) to the downtown main station and walked the three blocks to the hotel with our suitcases. Cab fare downtown to the airport could be about 175 Kroner-30-35US$ so it was worth the walk. We also pre-paid our room, which turned out to be at least 15% less than a walk-in. We would recommend the hotel to anyone who is happy not to break-the-bank for a good night of sleep; only the snobby rich traveller would not be happy. Of course, if you have money to burn...
“Maritime”
Arrived directly from the airport via metro directly to the station closest to the hotel (cannot remember the name) but a five minuite walk. Check in was fine and first impressions good. The room was on the fourth floor of this small hotel and the room clean and functional for my three day stay. A breakfast buffet breakfast was served each morning and was more than adequate. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Nyven was a five minuite walk and an array of bars and restaurants at your disposal. I would reccomend the hotel and the area and would not hesitate to go back to the Maritime Hotel.
“Great value, terrific location, helpful staff”
Two friends and I had a reunion in Copenhagen. We had spent a semester abroad there in the 70's. We all stayed at the hotel and we all were extremely happy with it. The location can't be beat. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and tasteful And as a bonus there was coffee and tea available in the breakfast room all day and night. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone traveling to the city.
“Great place to stay”
This wonderful hotel is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood just 2 blocks from the Nyhavn tourist mecca. Very easy to see all the attractions from here & not too far from the train station. Service was great & breakfast quite good. Tea & coffee available all day in the breakfast room is an added bonus to this value for money hotel. Highly recommended.
“Excellent location”
The local is ideal for walking to most of the high tourist destinations in the heart of Copenhagen. Personnel was helpful and curteous. The breakfast was good and plentiful.
“Great moderate priced hotel in Copenhagen”
This centrally located Copenhagen hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the metro station which comes in direct from the airport. It is located in a historic building and has been very well maintained. It was exceptionally clean and well run. The breakfast had both hot and cold offerings and the serving room was bright and had large windows looking out on the street. The breakfast room was availalbe 24 hours a day for complimentary tea and coffee which was appreciated at the end of the day. The rooms were quiet but were small and there was no comfortable spots to spread out. This was offset however by the moderate room rates which allowed our party to have three rooms instead of two thus everyone had space. There is no restaurant in the hotel and Copenhagen is expensive but we went to the cafe at the top of the shopping centre near the metro for an excellent and well priced lunch. There are many spots for dinner within 15 minutes of walking. We felt safe in the neighbourhood even though Copenhagen has fairly dark streets. All in all, not a deluxe hotel but for couples or families looking for a clean hotel close to the metro with an excellent breakfast at reasonable rates, this is a really good choice. We would stay here again.
“recommended with in good weather”
we enjoyed the stay.weather was grate and not hot, so we didn't need air condition.
