“Great location and great hôtel”
Great hotel overall with a great location near the city center and the walking street of Copenhagen. Great gym and good food (breakfast a little expensive however). Would go back anytime!
“Worth the trip just to stay here, just about”
I had a long weekend over a business trip to Germany, and visited Copenhagen for the 1st time. Based on various reviews of the Skt. Petri, I stayed here. I can't wait to go back. The hotel is in a renovated department store, easily accessible by train from the airport (20 minutes, approx. USD$5 for a ticket). The bar and coffee shop/pasty shop, as well as restaurant, are quite nice--in fact, the bar seems to be the ultimate weekend place for Copenhagen's elite to meet. There's a guest list, and staying at the hotel puts you on it. Otherwise, between 9PM and sometime in the early AM hours, you wouldn't get in if you're an ugly non-Copenhagen resident. I should add here that, apparently, everyone in Copenhagen looks like a fashion model. Anyway, the design and layout of the rooms, though they're small, meet all the requirements of the stereotypical Scandinavian design ideas--excellent all around. The staff are helpful and pleasant. The hotel is in the Latin Quarter, which is within a comfortable walking distance of most all of Copenhagen (if you like walking), and shopping, eating, drinking, and just hanging out start within a few blocks of the entrance. Just go. It's not the cheapest place to stay, but it's well worth the price.
“Brilliant Danish Design...of course.”
The first week in October 2005 I ventured back to Copenhagen, a town I had grown fond of while studying there my junior year. I had a wonderful time. Staying at Hotel Skt. Petri was delightful. It is a very hip, modern place. The epitomy of brilliant Danish Design. The hotel looks great and works well. Opening the door to my room I smelled beautiful wood. Awaiting me was a modern, nicely appointed minimalist room with nice bathroom and a rather large balcony onto the front of the building. The view quite wonderful from there. The bedding, comforters, pillows divine. I slept very well. And when I awoke I strolled downstairs to an amazing brunch. I dreamt of this brunch filled with the most wonderful Danish butter, cheese, sausages, breads, smoked fish, and a croissant-like poppy seeded pastry I will never forget! The Cafe downstairs is also very hip and very nice for an amazing burger (enough for two), a deconstructed breakfast, or a simple latte. Copenhagen is filled with gorgeous people and the employees at Skt. Petri were no exception. The service was very good as well. Hotel Skt. Petri gets an almost perfect rating from me. I would go back in an instant.
“Top Hotel in Copenhagen”
very trendy hotel with pleasant night scene... highly recommend
“A great hotel, in a great location, with a great staff”
Copenhagen is a city famous for design and architecture - and this hotel does not disappoint. The lobby, bar, restaurant, and rear courtyard are breathtaking. The service was first rate.
“Hotel Skt Petri”
We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Skt Petri in August 2010. As others have said, the bar downstairs is loud. It turned out our room was on the second floor above it. But we turned on the fan to the air conditioner and it wasn't a problem. Great room. Very stylish. Great view including the Skt Petri church at the corner. I was particularly impressed with the bell staff. There was a real crowd as we were getting a taxi to leave and I was particularly pleased at how well they handled it.
“Great hotel in perfect location”
The hotel location is unbeatable with the main walking streets around the corner, Tivoli close by, and all the shops and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is very well designed with minimalist approach and the rooms are spacious, not just by European standard but overall. I shared a double room with a friend and it didn't feel crowded at all. Service was great with good looking staff fluent in English and very helpful. The restaurant Bleu had excellent food. I highly recommend it.
“Very trendy and chic”
Great hotel. Fab location. Evidently, this is the place to see and be seen. Very trendy all around. Great service on all fronts. ONLY negative was that I was on the 6th floor and could still hear the music from the bar well into the night. They need to tone it down! Otherwise, a great stay.
“Very nice, and great location”
We found the Hotel Skt Petri to be very stylish; the staff were extremely nice and professional; our room was a bit smaller than we'd expected, but very nicely decorated and in very good condition. Unfortunately, while the air conditioning worked, it didn't really get the room as cool as we hoped for - and in a 5 star hotel, you expect the cooling system to be top notch.
“very stylish”
Although the entrance to the hotel was less than impressive as it backed onto a dull street, and did not have obvious signage, once we reached the lobby (one floor up) the style was everywhere, from the Arne Jacobsen chairs to the beautiful lighting. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast very Danish, and delicious.
