“Excellent hotel”
A lovely hotel in a great location. Large comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. The only slight problem is that in summer it is a bit stuffy and hot, but then all the museums and galleries in Copenhagen were like that as well - I guess air-con is not a high priority in Denmark, and only causes a probblem for a few weeks each year. I would happily stay at the hotel again.
“An excellent traveler's choice!”
We were impressed with the entire staff of the Kong Frederik Hotel as well as the Hotel itself. It is clean and spacious while retaining the "small, intimate feeling". The food was delicious, well prepared and the presentation was certainly above average. We found it to be reasonably priced and the entire staff attentive to our every need. The lack of air conditioning in our room provided the sole drawback, however we realize that the temperatures were abnormally high and most unusual for Copenhagen. Temperatures would normally be 15-20 degrees cooler, making air conditioning unnecessary.
“Excellent value”
Hotel is very centrally located and within walking distrance of many local attractions, from Tivoli to Rosenburg Castle to the Main Train Station. Pricing to include a lovely Buffet breakfast was a huge bonus in this costly country. We highly recommend the property.
“Best Copenhagen hotel I've ever used”
Great hotel. Fantastic value for money. I booked it for a work trip because it was cheaper than the other options I'd been given, and it included internet access and breakfast, which seems rare in Denmark. I assumed it would be a bit shabby for the price but it was a remarkably good hotel - friendly, helpful, well-kept and well-run. Breakfast was the best I've had in Denmark - full buffet including cooked and cold. Every room (so they told me) has a bath as well as shower and as well as the free internet (very fast), it also included a free minibar! The bath was a bit small though. For a hotel located so centrally (right by the City Hall Square) it is brilliant value. Ok, I went at an off-peak time, and I was also given a refurbished room (implying that some of them may be a bit shabby) but all the rooms are about to be refurbished so give it a few months and hopefully they will all be as good!
“Hôtel Kong Frederick Copenhague : très bien situé”
Proche de la gare (un train mène directement à l'aéroport), du jardin de Tivoli et des principales artères commerciales de la ville, l'Hôtel est idéalement situé. La décoration est moderne, très belle et correspond véritablement aux photos du site Internet. Seul bémol : préférer les chambre sur Cour, moins bruyantes. Très bon hôtel, acceuil sympathique et attentif en anglais. Prix raisonnables. Je le recommande vivement !
“Very good hotel”
The hotel is very well located in the city center. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
“A comfortable refuge”
Unfortunately during our stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations downstairs so we were unable to see it in its usual state. However, our room was superbly furnished and plush. The bed was the best we have ever slept in and the room was cleaned promptly and efficiently. The breakfast was of high quality and the staff friendly and helpful.
“Great central location.”
Very conveniently situated hotel for most things in Copenhagen. The hotel was comfortable and well maintained. The meal we ate at the hotel was lovely. Be aware that if your room overlooks the street, it is noisy all night but we managed to sleep through most of it.
“Central Copenhagen location”
The hotel was located near Tivoli and close to the main walkway to the old city center. The hotel is a little dated, but I had no problems with my stay . The desk staff at the hotel were very nice during my check in and check out processes. The room was fairly large, and the bathroom was also good sized. A hotel magazine stated that the hotel would be remodeled in 2010, and would include the updating of all guest rooms. The breakfast buffet was decent and, given the price of meals in Copenhagen, was a good value. Overall, I had no complaints with the hotel and it's location was fine for sightseeing and walking around the city.
“Comfortable, once luxurious.”
Old prestige hotel which is currently a bit faded and tired - but about to close for refurbishment. Excellent location, and still very comfortable to stay in, particularly if you get a good deal.
