Accueil efficace et chaleureux. Chambre peut-être un peu petite mais très propre et très fonctionnelle. salle de bains TB. Excellente situation. Calme absolu le long du canal.

“Strand Hotel, Copenhagen”

The room we had was clean and bright and the linen very fresh. The bathroom was replenished each day and the carpet vacuumed. There is no Wifi available in the rooms as the building is heritage listed and the process is in place to have wiring to the rooms in the near future. It is possible to use the Internet by having an Ethernet cable with a USB adaptor. Breakfast was included in our 'deal' and was a combination of cereals, fruit, cooked sausages and eggs, croissants, danish pastries and plenty of tea or coffee brought to the table. We are heading back there in a couple of days as the hotel suited us very well in that it was within walking distance to the canal area where there was outdoor dining along with more upmarket restaurants. It is also the point to pick up the Hop on, Hop off buses and and Canal tours. A walk to the main shopping precinct takes 10 minutes and on level ground. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

The Strand Hotel is very well located, along the main canal, two blocks from beautiful Nyhavn, the awesome National Library's modern addition and the fun pedestrian streets. The concierge service was very friendly all the time, the breakfast buffet was varied and tasty, and the room was comfortable even though it was a bit small if you have two or more large suitcases. It's hard to find a problem, really -I did not.

The room was small and looked directly into the office building next door, but who spends time in their room. I was a female traveling alone, always felt safe, front desk helpful, free internet access in room and lobby on their computer. Hotel is located on the waterway within easy walking distance of everything.

Solo traveller - had a great experience. Walked from the metro station, very convenient, and location is excellent for Nyhavn, all the central tourist spots. I had a top floor single room with small balcony and had a sandwich and a beer one night sitting there, rather than going out. Room was cozy but comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant reservations, information. Yes, the front of the street is under construction, but they are building a boardwalk which should make the location even nicer. The breakfast was very good.

Nous avons passé une nuit au Strand au retour d'une croisière de 11 jours dans la mer Baltique pour visiter Copenhague un peu. L'hôtel est idéalement situé tout près de plusieurs sites touristiques à voir à Copenhague, et on les a tous visités facilement à pied. Pour se rendre à l'aéroport pour le départ, nous avons pu facilement marcher jusqu'au Metro (8 minutes) avec nos valises et le trajet s'est fait en seulement 15 minutes. L'hôtel lui-même est très propre, le personnel est extrêmement courtois, parle l'anglais couramment, et un membre parlait même le français. Nous sommes arrivés vers 9 hres du matin et bien que trop tôt pour avoir notre chambre, on a pu placer nos valises dans une pièce sécuritaire réservée pour cela. La chambre est petite, mais confortable fonctionnelle et tout à fait adéquate pour une nuit (une chaise avec le pupitre, mais pas de divan dans cette chambre). Le buffet du déjeuner était inclus dans notre forfait et était très bien, avec un menu de déjeuner américain (oeufs, saucisses) et européen (croissants, brioches, fromages, viandes froides, etc) complet et varié. Il y a un poste Internet et le Wi-Fi dans le lobby, mais on nous a prêté un cable pour utiliser le laptop de notre chambre. Si nous retournons à Copenhague, nous n'hésiterions pas à retourner au Strand.

This recently renovated hotel is in a great location on the waterfront in the old part of Copenhagen. Very satisfied with quality of the room and the friendly staff.

The only problem was with the second room that we got when we returned to Copenhagen...the shower holder was broken so you could not put the spray up there...otherwise...great hotel...EP

The breakfast was great. The location was in a great place. We were all around happy with the hotel. We were unable to print the boarding passes.
