“Great Value”
By far the best bang for the buck as far as Copenhagen hotels are concerned. 2 blocks from the main station. Can't beat it.
“Excellent!”
Friendly welcome after 15 hours flying from South America with our 4 young children: They upgraded our room booking! It was perfectly located, close to everywhere. Rooms were spacious, clean, very nicely lighted, comfortable beds, linens... Perfect! Thank you!

“Great place to stay in Copenhagen”
My husband and I stayed in the Absalon Hotel from 5-7 May 07. Absalon is a nice affordable hotel in a very central location in Copenhagen. A couple of previous reviews mentioned that it is in the red light area - it was right on the edge and we never encountered anything dodgy and felt safe enough. Check in/out was a breeze and the staff were really friendly. We arrived quite early and were able to leave our bag in a locked room while we went out. We had a room on the first floor and it was perfect for our purposes. Our room had a very comfortable double bed, a set of bunks, fridge, chair and table. The room and bathroom were a good size. The colour scheme is a bit dated but it is really clean, so no complaints. Breakfast was really good - fruit, cereal, pastries, rolls, meat, cheese etc - really nice. The train station is a 2 minute walk, there is a 7-11 across the road which is handy. Tivoli Gardens also only a 5-10 minute walk. Getting around Copenhagen is easy - we did loads of walking - it was easy to find our way around and people are helpful and friendly. I think this hotel is great value for money - we couldnt fault it. I would certainly stay here again.
“Great little place!”
I stayed at the Absalon for a week while in Copenhagen for a conference and a few extra days of sightseeing. The room decor was outdated, but it was charming and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was a decent size for budget accommodations. Service at the desk was above and beyond - the staff was great. They also sell handy items like postcards and stamps, and also have a selection of beer and wine for your room, which I found very nice. My room had a fridge too, which I didn't expect, but I made great use of. The neighbourhood is a bit seedy, but only the few blocks right next to it; it didn't bother me in the least nor did it appear unsafe in any way. Being right by the train station was extra convenient, and the Vesterbro neighbourhood has lots of great little bars and restaurants. All in all, I had a great time and would definitely return to Absalon.
“Our favorite inexpensive place to stay”
Absalon staff were helpful and courteous. Had good suggestions for us, gave good directions to us on our walking forays into town. Hotel was clean, had a magnificent morning breakfast offering.
“A Great Central Location!”
This hotel was just a 2 minute walk from the Central Station, and within walking distant to the main shopping streets.The staff were knowledgable and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good choise of ceareals, cheese and hams. I would definatley go back there!
“Copenhagen: Convenient, Clean, and Cheap”
The hotel is only two blocks behind the Copenhagen Central Train Station (Kobenhavn H on the rail maps). The staff are friendly, helpful, and speak English. The common areas and my single room were clean. My courtyard-facing room was very quiet as well. This was one of the least expensive options for a room with a private bath. The room had a twin bed, and a full bath with tub. The room was small, but comfortable, about on par with other European 3-star accommodations. Traveler Beware I had my pocket picked outside the train station on the morning I was rushing to catch a train. The hotel staff were very helpful in assisting me to cancel my credit cards.

My visit was delightful - employees at the front desk were so nice and helpful - the full breakfast was the best I have ever had, when they say full breakfast they really mean it, I looked forward to it every morning, I will definately go again.
