“Location, Location, Location”

Right in the midst of the bustling city of The Dalles, Oregon. Close to fast foods and restaurants, next door to a walgreens and a Safeway Supermarket. This motel allows pets and is in an ideal location for walking and veiwing all the city has to offer. Restaurants near include one of my all time favorites, Mama Jane's you should try it for Breakfast it is fantastic and the service is always great. Another really nice but a little hard to find locals place is The WIndseeker. They have a very nice Sunday Brunch with everything a hearty breakfast lover will devour. The WIndseeker is right on the beautiful Columbia River and well worth the short trip down 2nd street to the river edge to find it. The Columbia Gorgia Intrepretive Center is well worth a visit too. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did at this fine hotel. The only thing about the Super 8 that is a little annoying is the limited parking but the staff will direct you to an empty place if you need help. There is usually a place to be had for parking even late at night.

“Good location, but NO FITNESS FACILITY”

Right off I-84, Fred Meyer next door, Safeway down the street, has a small pool with very cold water the first day but then was heated the second day. No signage at the pool, so girlfriend and I had a glass-bottle beer and a cigar by the pool (others smoking too, no problems). Location was good for going to a concert at Mary Hill Winery (Yes and Styx - great concert), but there was no fitness room and had to jog in the commercial area around the hotel. We made our way up a hill and got away from the industrial area, but then there are no running nor bicycle paths in or around town. I noticed there were many hard working types at the Super 8, and perhaps the normal clientelle does not want a fitness room, but in my Right off I-84, Fred Meyer next door, Safeway down the street, has a small pool with very cold water the first day but then was heated the second day. Overall a good value. The Front Desk staff was very professional and helpful when I arrived late in the evening.

The room was clean and comfy and the refrigerator and micro were a nice big size. The offered breakfast was great too!

“Just fine for resting your head...”

We stayed here before/after attending a concert in Goldendale WA. It's pretty much a no-thrills hotel and was just a place for us to crash after the concert. Room was clean; bathroom was clean but could have used a little maintenance (paint over scuffed walls, etc). Price was just right. I'd recommend bringing your own pillow - otherwise everything seemed fine! We stayed at an hotel closer to the bridge about a year ago; paid about $50 more and had basically the same room.
