Most pet friendly hotels in the area were very expensive. The Sunset was reasonable, nice setting and very friendly.

hotel was just up the hill from downtown Hood River, within walking distance of anyplace you would want to go. Well maintained rooms, quiet and friendly.

“Quiet convenience”

I am a very light sleeper and found this hotel very quiet. It is on a main drag out of town so I was really surprised. It is conveniently located to all this town has to offer. I just wish there had been breakfast. My iPad also never saw the wireless network but it often misses signals.

Clean, comfortable, convienient. Only problem, heat pump is noisy.

Looks nice from the outside. Quite clean in the room. However the mattress was not very comfortable and the fitted sheet would not stay on it. I woke up several time during the night touching exposed mattress because the sheet had popped off of the corner. The shower curtain rod was loose allowing the curtain to gather somewhat in the middle. That left water splashing out of the shower and onto the floor and wall. The wood trim on the wall looks bad because it is water damaged. Overall it is a very good value and I would gladly make a reservation there again.

“Hood River Stay”

Good location close to downtown and air/auto museum, very reasonable price, comfortable bed, and quiet. I would definitely stay there again. Does not look like much from the road so don't be put off by appearances.

the rooms were recently refurnished . VERY COMFORTABLE CONVENIENT TO SHOPPING AND DOWNTOWN HELPFUL STAFF

“Will go back when the need arises”

The only problem we had was that they did not seem to be too accommodating. We checked in at 2:10PM and asked for a lower level room. There were no cars there so how could they not have a lower level room available.

Very clean and comfortable motel room. Elderly owner very helpful with directions and dining recommendations. Very good value for the money an close to downtonw.
