“Very Nice for the Price, Recently remodeled”
We were looking for a hotel on the cheaper side, but not a dive...We found this hotel online and it looked nice. You can tell it's been recently renovated, the rooms are simple but clean, nice, and have all the amenities. The staff is very friendly, and the attached restaurant has great diner-type food.

Everything went well, no major hiccups. All service was good at the reception. you get a free cookie and coffee too! parking was abit less than normal cause the hotel was packed. the suite was great except for the bed being too soft and may need to get newer sheets. but overall great experience.

“Cousin's Hotel in The Dalles”
Asked for extra towels and were told there were plenty in the room for the 2 of us, however, there were only 2 towels, 2 hand towels and 2 wash clothes. We had driven all day and wanted to shower in the evening and then shower again before we got back on the road. It would have been nice to have fresh towels for the morning.

While the rooms very small, the service was excellent. Very good restaurant. Nice pool. Most important the hotel and restaurant had great coffee. I highly recommend this place.

“Everything you need in a "road trip" hotel stop”
My family stayed here for just one night en route to another destination; two adults, two kids. The room was clean and comfortable, and they had a Keurig coffee maker in the room. The big plus for us was the restaurant, which had something for everyone, including the picky eater in the family, as well as adult beverages from the Saloon. After a long day, that was appreciated. Surprisingly quiet for being so close to the freeway. I wouldn't want to stay here for more than a day or two, as there are few amenities, but if you are passing through and need a clean, quiet, safe place to stay with free WiFi and a decent restaurant on the premises, then this is a good choice.
“Good nights sleep but!”
We had a good nights sleep. Room was extremely comfortable. We booked a room with full kitchen. Kitchen had all the appliances but only had shallow bar sink that was too small to wash dishes in and had no table to eat at. I felt it was over priced for what a full kitchen should be. The kitchen is somewhat useless. When we checked staff was quick to let us know about dining options in their restaurant. beyond that there wasn't mention of other amenities on site or their location. Pretty much find out for yourself.
“Not a good deal”
We chose this hotel since it was at a convenient location for us during a road trip. The front desk was set up nicely, we got to take some free DVD's for the night etc. However, the room that we were put in had smoke smell, the bath tubs were unclean, there was food in the refrigerator that appeared to be a left over of the previous occupant of the room, the lights were dim, the carpets were very dirty and the "free" wireless connection did not work on my dad's laptop. On the whole it was a bit expensive for such an unclean place - and we get no complimentary breakfast as well. What was good about the hotel was its convenience of location and the surrounding location.
