“Ok for the price”
Although we did not stay, the motel was ok. The rooms could use updating and there was a musty smell that was the reason we did not stay
“Trip to Fort Jackson”
Arriving for check-in at 10:00 p.m. and having to be "buzzed" into the lobby made me wonder what type of issues caused that precaution to be necessary. The first nights stay was uneventful. The third night made me wish for thicker walls - the party next door came in from partying and every scream and laugh could be heard. It was an okay place to stay during the week, but I wouldn't stay on the weekend again.
“Situated near interstate and old”
The Days Inn was definitely an older building. It suited the purpose. The rooms were cleaned and taken care of efficiently; but they were so old it seemed a little seedy. The hotel is located near the interstate and next to a big-rig truck wash. The neighborhood does not have a secure feel to it. The motel is obviously used for area businesses to put up employees on jobs around the area. Not exactly wonderful. Lots of noise and coming and going. Rooms are not well sound-proofed.
“Comfy bed... older room... scary truck stop”
older hotel that needs repair. toilet and sheets were not clean. house cleaning practically forced us out before out designated checkout time. only hotel at the exit and nearby truck stop had many shady characters which left an uncomfortable feeling about the are. bed was big and comfy though.
“Not what they said it was.”
This motel was just above poor. It is rundown and in poor repair, just marginally clean. It was not located near the Ft. Jackson gates as they claimed in fact there are 2 comfort inns that are closer. Maid service was late each day (after 2pm). The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. The breakfast was available but no nearly as good as we have had at many other comfor inns. The fruit was spoiled. Unless you want to eat at McD's every meal the only thing with in 5 miles is a Truck repair and a church. it was a 15 - 20 minute drive down the interstate to find anything. Initally I wanted to call customer service and move to a better location but just didn't want to go through the hastle after a long drive and plane flight. Buyer beware it is a roll of the dice here...
“its still over priced”
Ok, Ok, I shopped on line for a low price and found it. Should've shopped for a little higher price. The room stunk, the shower was 1950's and I would not call that a breakfast. The location is nasty. A pot-holed side road next to an expressway next to a trailer exchange yard. The family is not happy for me having saved a few dollars. The television worked and it was not their fault that peolple were honking their horn outside my room at 1:30 in the morning!
“dirty run down room”
When I walked into the room, I was overwhelmed with the smell of smoke, I requested a smoke free room, I wasn't going to worry about it but when I figured out that the shower didn't drain, the carpet was dirty and the drywall on the walls were mixmatched i called the front desk and they told me that it was a no smoking room and as far as they knew, the shower drained, when I asked them to come and see for theirselves they said that they didn't feel that was necesary, overall I was completely dissatisfied and would not reccommend this hotel to anyone, in my opinion, it should be condemned .
“Truck Stop”
Comp. breakfast, USA Today, Great Shower. Everything else was VERY bad. The heater rattled, the toliot leaked, the walls were dirty and there was gum stuck on the wall. The bedside table was dirty, no ash tray was available in the room, there was a hole in the bedspread, the drapes were wrinkled, the chairs stained.....should I go on? I would rate this as the worst hotel experience of my life.
“Not impressed.”
Ceiling in room 115 need repair.
“Won't ever go back even if they paid me to do so.”
The toilet in my room was leaking and took them 2 nights to give me another room. They didn't even give me the room I paid for to start with and when they moved me to another room it was the same as the first. The service was horrible, the clerks barely knew english and were very rude. My mother in law also stayed at that hotel and had similar problems as I did. I would recommend you choose a different hotel in the area.
