very convenient and clean hotelPosted 9-Feb-2013
Great location convenient for central attractions and shopping. Welcoming if small reception. Room comfortable and quiet. Very generous and attractive hot and cold breakfast selection. Would certainly stay again based on recent experience

Pros: The staff
Location: Central within 5 mins of all attractions
We stayed for 4 days and we were comfortable and the staff made my little girls Christmas market experience magical. Every morning the waitress would give her a big smile ask her if she was having fun and give her a little lindt chocolate, which she thought was the best way to start any day. This hotel is perfectly placed for visiting the markets very central and loads of places to eat on your doorstep.
Close to shopping but no air conditioningPosted 29-Aug-2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel was close to the DOM and tourist area - good location. BUT I had reserved a TRIPLE room and when we checked in they gave us a TWO person room so I went downstairs and told them about this and we changed room. We could not figure out the TV and we wanted to listen to ENGLISH CNN but the TV asked for a password and when I called the front desk, the man at night only said I am the night man and he didn't know how we could get ENGLISH TV. I don't think he spoke much English either. The next day I asked a woman who was on our floor about the TV and somebody wrote directions down on how we could change the TV to English which was wonderful as we had been traveling for a while and felt out of touch with America. There was LOTS of construction near our windows unfortunately early in the morning and it was HOT and no air conditioning unfortunately. My fault as I booked a hotel in Amsterdam with a/c - thank goodness as it was hot in Amsterdam when we were there. The breakfast was good and the man at the front desk was VERY pleasant and spoke good English.

Best thing is locationPosted 16-Aug-2012 on Hotels.com
The location of this hotel is brilliant. It's about 2 mins from cathedral (if you know the way) BUT the reception staff smile through gritted teeth and the cleaners etc are missrable as sin. Rooms are ok but in need of updating. If it wasnt for the location it would be well over priced.

Well-maintained older hotelPosted 6-Aug-2012
Well-maintained older hotel. Our triple room was quite small but had everything we needed for a pleasant 3-night stay. Delicious breakfast. Cordial staff. Free wi-fi works well in the lobby and rooms. If you are sightseeing in Cologne, it's a very convenient location near the Dom, hauptbahnhof and waterfront. Enjoy the sounds of the city and the bells of the Dom.

Clean and convientPosted 15-Jul-2012 on Hotels.com
Nice, clean, centrally located hotel. Only a 3 minute walk from Hauptbanhof and right around the corner from the Dom. Rooms are small, but that is true in most of Europe. Beware the bathroom. Tub floor is very slippery and there is no shower curtain so water tends to get all over. We put a towel down in the tub to avoid slipping. A very nice breakfast is included.

Friendly staff and great location. Quiet at night. Close to Dom and River. Milk and other dairy products were all warm/room temperature at the breakfast, which I do not think is safe. Same with the fruit and juice. Bedding was clean but the floor was filthy and grimy. Tiny rooms. Nice bathrooms. No iron.

Hotel Koenigshof A Gem In ColognePosted 14-Apr-2012 on Hotels.com
Fabulous location and a warm and welcoming staff come standard at this marvelous gem of a hotel. It is about a five minute walk from the train station and two minutes from Cologne's cathedral. The rooms are clean and comfortable and a traditional German breakfast buffet greeted you each morning. I have been to Cologne numerous times and for the price and location the TOP Cityline Hotel Koenigshof is at the top of my list!

Koln stayPosted 3-Jan-2012 on Hotels.com
We used this Hotel as a base to see the Christmas Markets, we have stayed here before and once again it met our expectations, an excellent Hotel for a short stay to Koln. Very pleasant staff and helpful. Cologne is a lovely city and well worth a visit any time of the year. :)
