Near to everything owner met us at Doir everything
The owner met us as soon as we arrived showed us the apartment, it was very comfortable had all we needed , close to everything

Perfect Stay for Cologne's Dom & Christmas Market!
Our one-night stay while visiting the Cathedral & Christmas Markets in Cologne was wonderful and this was the perfect place for both! With a very close view of the Cathedral from the balcony, we enjoyed snacks and drinks in the shadows of the 'Dom' both day and night. The location is adjacent to the Hauptbahnhof as well as several parking ramps and convenient to all the major attractions. Although a bit light in decor, the room was very comfortable, laid out well with lots of windowed walls, and very spacious. All told, this place is hard to beat.

Business trip
We stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a conference in Dusseldorf so it was really convenient to just walk the 400m to the train station each day. Lots of restaurants nearby for dinner and quiet at night.

Home away from home
A great little apartment right in the heart of downtown Cologne. This place is walking distance from everything, and across the street from the famous Dom cathedral. I stayed here for a week and it was just right. This is not your typical hotel, and it might not be for everyone. Don't book here if you want room service, daily cleanings, an attached spa, or hotel staff to hold your hand throughout your trip. Proceed with caution if you don't speak the language - there's no front desk, so check-in is at the kebab place next door and can get confusing. But if you're the independent type that wants a home base to return to after a day of exploring this exciting and historic city, I cannot recommend First Domizil highly enough.

My family stayed here, 2 adults 1 teen and 1 pre-teen. There is plenty of space, very contemporary. Comfortable. Stocked with dished and utensils, cookware. Great coffee. Very late convenience store right across the street. Wi-Fi was good. Hot during the summer. No AC. No true blinds. I recommend eye shades, the sun comes right in. The owner is very friendly. A little harder to find than I thought. Public parking is available a block or so down the street.

Great location but check in was stressful
First domizil was home away from home with spacious rooms and kitchen. The check-in was stressful as there is no front desk. It was voicemail every time I called the phone number listed on the reservation confirmation. Housecleaning is weekly.

Nice apartment
This is not a hotel, it is a serviced apartment. So no reception, no cleaning during stay etc. I had to get the keycode for the room at the Pizza-place next door. What if I arrived late and noone was there? I must have missed any information about this during my booking. All this aside, the 2 bedroom apartment was nice and clean, and the location next to the Dome in Cologne is of course excellent.

Great location
Very convenient as it is next to train station and Cathedral. Apartment is clean and spacious. However, there is no reception and therefore don't expect you will get any service or help.

We loved the place, but it was inconvenient for us since we couldn't check in till 3:00 PM. OK to leave luggage in Eataliano next door. Would stay there again in a flash if we could figure out the check-ins.

Die Wohnung (4. Etage) ist trotz kleinerer Mängel sehr zu empfehlen. Sauberkeit und Lage sind topp. Leider war die Kaffeemaschine und die Duschhalterung defekt und es fehlten 3 Rauchmelder. Wir waren zum 2. Mal in der Unterkunft und werden sie auch beim nächsten Kölnaufenthalt wieder buchen.

Central beliggenhed
Super skøn lejlighed i centrum af Køln. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage til dette skønne centrale sted. Rigtig godt kondittori lige overfor lejligheden hvor man kan spise morgenmad til en meget rimelig pris

Leider nur kurz da gewesen. War aber super schick, modern. Und ein wahnsinniger Ausblick auf dem Kölner Dom. Wirklich schick und groß.

Few problems for otherwise great location
Top-floor room. No hot water in the sink (while its OK in the shower or in the kitchen) - very inconvenient. Pillows are extremely flat and mattress is not really comfortable. Other than that the location is great and service/check-in are perfect.

Останавливались в отеле на 3 ночи, все очень понравилось. Великолепное расположение, все в пешей доступности, вид с балкона отличный, именно оттуда наблюдали за карнавалом 11.11. Номер комфортный, все продуманно до мелочей. Всем рекомендую останавливаться здесь.

Ideales Appartement in absolut zentraler Lage
Das Appartement befand sich im 1. OG, an den Straßenlärm haben wir uns schnell gewöhnt. Die ideale Lage zum Dom, zum Bahnhof, der U-Bahn und der Altstadt macht das aber auch wieder wett. Die Ausstattung ist zweckmäßig und sauber. Am Bett wäre ein helleres Licht zum Lesen günstiger. Das Ein- und Aus- checken und auch eine Verlängerung war völlig problemlos.

4 stjernet lejlighed i Köln når det er bedst!!!
Fantastisk lejlighed få meter fra Köln domkirke og kun 100-200 meter fra hovedbanegården og shoppingdistriktet. Lejligheden kan ikke ligge mere centralt placeret end denne! Lejligheden ligger på 5 sal, med adgang via trappeopgang og lille elevator. I lejligheden finder du alt hvad du har brug for til et behageligt ophold for 1-2 personer. Derudover er der en fin terasse og adgang til taget hvor der er en helt igennem fantastisk udsigt til bl.a. domkirken og hovedbanegården.

Böse Erfahrung mit komfortablen Appartements
Leider hatten wir, verursacht durch die DEUTSCHE BAHN 2 Std. Verspätung (Ankunft 16:00 h statt 14:00 h), was darin resultierte, dass man unsere Reservierung nicht mehr fand! Telefonisch geklärt (von der Dönerbude aus!) teilte man mir mit, ich müsse nun aber bar zahlen...ich hatte nicht so viel Bares dabei und konnte mit den hinterlegten Daten bei Hotels.com zu Kreditkartenzahlung überreden. Das hat wiederum offenbar nicht geklappt, so wurde nachts unser Zugangscode zum Appartement geändert (sämtliches Gepäck und Wertgegenstände von 4 Frauen darin) und wir hätten auf der Straße gestanden, wäre nicht eine von uns noch zu Öffnungszeiten des Döner-Imbisses heimgegangen und hätte durch erzwungene Barzahlung einen neuen Zugangscode erhalten!!! Ich halte dieses Vorgehen für illegal und als Stammgast (sowohl von hotels.com als auch von First Domizil) für unverschämt und unverhältnismäßig. Ich bin noch nie eine Zahlung schuldig geblieben, meinen Kreditkarten sind immer gedeckt! Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und ungehalten und denke über weitere Schritte nach.

Die Wohnung verfügt über ein grosses Wohnzimmer, eine kleine Küche und mittelmässiges Schlafzimmer gegen den Hof und überraschender Terrasse mit Domsicht. Sie war sauber gereinigt, ausgestattet mit 2 Getränken im Kühlschrank und Kaffeemaschine. Als sehr nachteilig ist die Geräuschkulisse des Verkehrs sowie das laute Summen technischer Anlagen neben dem Schlafzimmerfenster und die 3 Mobilfunkantennen rund um die Wohnung (eine davon direkt über dem Schlafzimmer) zu nennen.

Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt. Der Vermieter sehr sehr nett, nur leider hat das versprochene WLAN nicht funkioniert. Alles war top sauber und ordentlich wie auf den Fotos. Im Stiegenhaus und Lift hat es etwas nach Zwiebel gerochen. Dads einzig störende waren die Kirchenglocken früh am Morgen. doch da kann ja das Hotel nichts dafür. Gsamt: Würde wieder hinfahren.

Das Apartment war zwar sehr zentral am Kölner Dom, aber es war sehr dreckig!! Überall waren noch Haare, auf der Couch, im Bett und am Boden sowieso.. Die Möbel waren auch ziemlich dreckig! Keine gute Bleibe für so eine Top Lage!

Les chambres sont très agréables et très propres . Par contre l accueil se fait à la pizzeria à côté pas très facile de laisser les bagages c est le seul reproche que l on peut faire

With no reception and potential help is coming from ground floor Italian restaurant, then they should speck basic English AND the connected phone number answered when calling. Had two days of no heat and they was hesitant to check and when they located the fault, then slow to correct it.

Exzellent fuer Familien und Geschaftsreisende.
Hervorragend gelegen fuer Dom und Stadtzentrum; und nur um die Ecke vom Hauptbahnhof. Die Wohnung war stilsicher mit Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet, bequem und sauber. Wir wuerden jederzeit wieder buchen.
