This is a pleasant small hotel in a great location for train travel, and the place is quiet and very professionally run. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The property and the room was superb. Generous space for the room that we booked, walkable to the Cologne Dom and up to Old City and all the nearby Christmas market within 15-20 mins moderate walk. Walkable as well to Schildergrasse shopping street. Variety of foods in that area and very good stay overall.

Stayed for 3 nights visiting Cologne Christmas markets. Hotel is in a great location close to the Cathedral and the main railway station which has a direct link from the airport. Would recommend.

Weekend in Cologne, Germany
The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks from the Koln Train station downtown. There is some construction around the hotel, but you don't hear it. Our room was not facing Cologne Cathedral but there was a lovely church across the street. Be warned the bells go off at 7AM. Cologne is pretty walkable too, so we didn't use any other form of transportation while we stayed there. We got the breakfast buffet one morning and I can say, it wasn't worth it. Not many selections for the cost. The staff was friendly.

Stayed for a few nights and enjoyed the room and location. Close enough to Koln station to be handy, but not right on top of it so means slightly quieter. There are very limited shops close, but this is okay as shops are only a ten minute walk away. The room was nice, spacious, clean, and a well appointed bathroom with great shower. The only negative would be needing to walk up and down stairs and along hallways as my room was in the adjoining building - not major, but there is no guest entrance in the adjoining building so means ups and downs to get in and out each time. Again, not major and overall a great stay and really handy location for a Koln visit.

Beautiful central hotel
Beautiful hotel centrally located near the central train station, the amazing Cathedral and many restaurant/pub choices. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.

Room was fantastic, stylish and luxurious. Although they advertise parking, they had none... They rent out the spaces to locals for overnight I'd say, so at 5pm you have to park somewhere else, at cost, 10min walk away, then next morning get the car from there before you can load bags... Hmmmmm.

Problems starting at checkin to the hotel. Parking lot was full and could not be used. Got to the room after going up and down 2 elevators, turned on the lamp and it it exploded. You could smell something burning. No power in the entire room. Hotel staff came and did something to restore power after over half an hour. TV and the entire wall with outlets was not working. Mini fridge also didn’t work. Tried to take a shower, water flows under the door and pools by the sink and in the room with the toilet. Asked to change rooms to a different one, was told nothing was available. Terrible place. Stay far, far away.

Poor quality hotel
Very disappointing. Paid extra for a superior room but the room was tiny, and the drains in the bathroom stank. The room was stuffy and windows would not stay open. Checkin was slow. Only a couple person in front of me but it took nearly half an hour because of all unnecessary printing out/ form filling in. Staff were friendly but unapologetic.

1- The room was too hot. The air-conditioning was not working. Called the receptionist, answered and hang up!! I think they did not speak English!! That was very rude. 2- The price paid for the room was way too high. At least there should be a bottle of water in the room for free!! 3- The room was the bed!! I had a king size bed that i think the room was too small to accommodate it!! no space to move around the bed. 4- Breakfast was acceptable, good choices of food. 5- For the price I was expecting a better quality and service.

I recently stayed at a hotel that exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive to my needs. They went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. The room was extremely comfortable and had all the amenities I needed for a business trip, including a desk and reliable Wi-Fi. The location of the hotel was also top-notch. It was situated in a great area with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, which made it easy to get around and explore the city. One of the things that really stood out to me about this hotel was the staff's willingness to go above and beyond to help guests. They even took care of some boxes that I had sent to the hotel in advance, and even kept my crate for days until UPS came to pick it up. This level of service is truly exceptional and made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay, especially for business trips. The staff, cleanliness, comfort, and location all exceeded my expectations and made for a fantastic experience.

A nice property located in a quiet part of the neighborhood a mere 10 minute walk to the Cathedral Square. Quite a variety of diverse restaurant options in the nearby neighborhood. Shopping is also a quick 10 or 15 minute walk, where local residents shop and enjoy a bite to eat.

Check-in staff were very rude and unhelpful. Asian lady and another guy, unsmiling, unkind. First they said I didn't have a booking. They mucked me around for ages even though I had already prepaid online then they wanted me to unpack my bags and get a physical credit card (wouldn't accept tap and pay). Then they made me fill out pages of details on paper with a pen. (All the same details they already had) They had a very unkind, awful attitude. Very cold and anti-customer. Not nice at all. Apart from that the hotel was clean and newly fitted out.

Lots of room for improvement.
Poor water pressure in shower, no mini-fridge (so we had to switch rooms). Aircon was poor. Lowest temp was 21c and it was loud and intermittent. We had to buy a handheld fan to sleep. Parking was a bit expensive but good. We have to take two lifts and walk along a passage to get in/out. The hotel seems to be under construction in some areas. The good thing is there aren’t many rooms/guests so the lift was usually available straight away. Location was good. Very close to the Cathedral.

We stayed for one night in a deluxe room. 19/08 The room would of been fine apart from the lack of air conditioning the room on arrival was unbearable. We had opened the patio door which didn’t really have much afffect The temperature outside was 27 degrees so not as hot as it has been thankfully. The pillows also had an unpleasant smell not the pillow cases as the linen was clean but the pillows. Thankfully one night was enough and bearable. If staying here do not stay in the summer

Belligerent management
Management is horrible. We arrived a day late due to a major Europe-wide storm that brought flights and trains to a standstill. Despite this being in all the news and affecting ALL transportation modes, AND having called ahead, our rooms were not ready. After not charging us for the missed night, they managers called me incessantly, in my room and in my brother's room, looking to get me to pay for the first night that they themselves had comped. They not only had obviously sold my room to another guest for that night, they also charged me and were quite rude about it. The rooms are a bit over the top gold and velvet, the decor trying oh so hard to be hip, but underneath all that is are frayed carpets and LOTS of construction going on. The breakfast is pretty dull compared to most German breakfasts, with stale bread and canned fruit. Will never stay here again simply due to the rudeness of the management (which did not extend to the poor front desk people who were also being harassed to harass me every time I walked in or out of the hotel. They had my credit card on file, there was simply no reason to ruin my few days there with constant badgering. Someone needs to go back to hospitality school for some retraining.
