Nice hotel but overpriced.

Pros: The room was large and comfortable.
Cons: Replace old TVs with flat screen TVs, do something about the smell in the elevator, and have friendlier front desk attendants.
Overall, it was a good hotel, the room was very nice and clean. However, for the price of the room, they should upgrade their TVs to flat screens. The hotel was clean but the elevator had a bad smell. Also, I thought their breakfast should have been a lot better considering the price of the room, at least use real eggs instead of powder eggs that were really dry. The person at the front desk was never there. Luckily for us, we had prepaid the room and didn't have to wait to check out.

Lobby hallways and elevator were filthy. Staff was unfriendly and rude. I booked this hotel because it advertised on Expedia as "pet friendly" and did not mention any additional fees or restrictions on pets. When I got there they charged an extra $25 per night saying they could have charged $75 if they wanted to...I told them I would cancel if they did...they relented but with quite an attitude that followed every time I walked through the lobby. I will not only never stay in this particular hotel again but this chain will never see any of my business.

Location: College Station, Texas A&M University.
Needed a hotel for the night in College Station. Quality Suites was the only hotel with available rooms, and now I know why. The hotel was hot when you walked into it, the elevator didn't work, the carpets were stained, the hallways were hot, and our room smelled like the carpets were wet with mold. The chair for the desk was bent, the air conditioner didn't stay on. Need I go on? It was a disaster. Would not recommend you stay here.

Overall, the stay was fairly comfortable, but the room had a musty/humid smell. The air conditioner was adequate, but was noisy. The shower was not great, no water pressure, had to wash my hair in the sink, but the bathroom was good size so had enough room to bend over to the sink. The room was clean, and the beds were pretty comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Location was good for what we were there for, about 3-4 miles from A&M. Thought it was a little over-priced, but was in a pinch for a hotel room. Staff seemed friendly too.

Good hotel, staff needs training

The facility was fine, great location for our needs. The breakfast was outstanding, very fresh. The business center was stocked and equipment working. The room temp was not easy to control and there was no iron either in the room or at the front desk, although there was a very distinct iron-shaped burn in the carpet where someone had left the iron on the floor. So I was just wrinkled. All of that is sometimes to be expected. (But no iron, really?) The one thing which would make me think twice about staying here again was the delay at the front desk. A tired traveler does not want a hassle when checking in. I waited behind another customer who was also having difficulty. It seems our rooms were occupied by someone else. The young lady was very pleasant, but she was having a very difficult time running the front desk.

Just Okay Not Great

Room was big and had lots of space. Bed was comfortable enough. Everything was clean enough. Water pressure was terrible, I mean terrible. Everything in the fitness center is broken in some way and some of it beyond being able to use it. Breakfast was okay but no juice. Only stayed here because I could not get another hotel. It was okay for 2 nights, but I won't be back if I can avoid it.

BIG waste of money

Cons: Lower the price or fix the problems mentioned (wifi, TV, pillows, AC, breakfast, cleaning, etc.)

I've stayed in Quality Suites before, but will definitely reconsider this hotel in the future. For $130 a night, I expected better. There were a pair of socks under the bed from some previous guest, the pillows were about the size of throw pillows, the AC wouldn't cool the room, the TV was a tube TV not flat screen, and the "free wifi" was non-existant. While the breakfast wasn't bad, you were limited to either water, coffee or milk. There was one morning that they had a little orange juice available for the early eaters.

If you like it hot, stay here!

We arrived a the hotel at 4:30 and front desk didn't have our paperwork ready for us to sign. The clerk was very unprofessional and asked that I come back later to sign the paperwork. When we reached the room, we noted that the A/C was set on 75, but the room was very hot and humid. We turned the A/C unit down to 64 to get any kind of cool air at all and that only reached the sitting room. It never made it to the bed or bathroom. We left the room a 6:30 to go to a wedding and returned at midnight. The room was as hot as it was when we left. Neither of us slept more than an hour at a time all night long. When we complained to the management the next morning, it was "ok sorry about that. There isn't anything I can do for you, but I'll let my manager know and she will call if she can make an adjustment on your bill." We've heard nothing from the management.
