“Nice place to stay with your family ,”
A little bit of a problem with inside parking but not a big deal can just park across the street. clean & safe to stay. it just the people who works at the reception has some issue.
“New Yorker”
Not that bad after all. The sink is broken but they fix it. I get the wireless AP in my room so internet was fast.
“TV was free, there was microwave, coffee maker.”
Room was clean and very comfortable. Just on the first day, the curtain was broken and I wasn't able to close. One one more thing is that I borrowed an iron from front desk, but it doesn't work (doesn't become worm).
“Convenient”
Convenient and affordable, you get what you pay for. Would stay here again.
“OK for the price”
My room was fine other than a strange disinfectant smell and only being able to get 3 clear channels on the TV set.
“value for the money”
nice hotel easy to walk to the Metro sub station, close to dining area, and downtown shopping.
“A place to put your stuff”
If you have to travel to the Washington DC area, and want an inexpensive, reasonably close to the Metro (5 blocks), free parking place to stay, this is the place. Typical Days Inn floorplan, condition, amenities (complete with microwave and refrigerator). No restaurants or bars nearby. However, the Metro is just $2.40 and a 20 minute ride to downtown DC. Good for business travelers on a budget.
“affordable hotel”
affordable hotel about 5 blocks from the metro station.
“passing through...”
This was my 2nd visit to this Days Inn and all it was really used for was to have somewhere to shower, change clothes and rest before heading back to philly from an evening of nightlife in the DC area. Location is very accessible to getting in & out of DC and vicinity since Georgia Ave is right there at the corner. Going through Expedia was very smooth & "expedited" Parking however could be a problem. It would be helpful if a parking space was available in the area of your room. We returned to the hotel late and had to park in the public parking lot around the corner. I would definitely use this location again in a future visit.
“Recommending with guarded reservations”
I would stay elsewhere if I could. Use it as a last resort place. Pros: 1) The people behind the desk were quite friendly and helpful. 2) I suppose the price was right, but not sure. Cons: 1) Old building, not well-maintained. 2) The carpet in the room was so dirty that if you walked bare-foot, say, to the bathroom, the bottom of your feet would be soiled! 3) The swimming pool was NOT available till 2PM! When asked why, the manager told us because they didnot/could not get a life-guard there before 2PM and the local (Maryland?) law forbade them from providing a swimming pool facility w/o a life-guard. 4) No vending machines on the premises - better have some snacks with you if you feel like munchies at night!
