This was just a stop for a couple hours of sleep while driving from Colorado to Florida. The rate was attractive, and the location was perfect, (just off the interstate), but the room didn't "feel" clean.... the towels were worn and even ripped, the sheets were wrinkled like the bed had already been slept in, and there was a tiny amount of toilet paper just sitting on the back of the toilet... no paper holder. First time I had to bring my own toilet paper to a motel room. Wouldn't stay there again!

Nice location.Posted 23-Sep-2013
Pros: An inexpensive price. The staff was friendly.
Cons: Our room was decent, however, it did appear that it had not been vacuumed.
It has new management. They are trying to re-establish a reputation.

A place to sleep its okPosted 26-Oct-2012
Location: Just off the Highway
If you are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep...this is fine. It is a very old motel. They do have free wi-fi and cable TV, A truck stop is across the street with a restaurant, store and a Subway. So for a place to sleep and then getting back on the road, this is a fine place.

Don't botherPosted 16-May-2012
Pros: checking out
Cons: everything else
Location: The TCA truckstop across Hwy-40 is the only nearby place to eat, fortunately they do a decent job in their restaurant.
I'm not someone who normally submits online reviews unless I am either overwhelmed by the experience or completely dissatisfied. The Relax Inn did not overwhelm me. The place looks like a condemned building on the outside, and that is one of the positive aspects of it. Inside, the paint was peeling off the walls and doors, there were flies buzzing around the room, the shower had no safety mat to avoid falls, etc. I would encourage anyone planning on staying in Oakley, KS to stay anywhere else other than this place.

Never againPosted 11-May-2012 on Hotels.com
It was terrible. When I pulled up to the hotel, if it didn't cost me money to cancel, I would have cancelled and went somewhere else. The outside of the building looked terrible with a hole in the wall....the outside stairs leading to my room were are torn carpet. The room itself was bad, looked like and old house that had been abandoned, very dirty for hotel standards.

This place is not all what the website makes you believe. The pictures are nothing like the way it is. It looks like a place that you would rent by the hour. It is cheap but not worth the price!

no pool.Posted 8-Mar-2012 on Hotels.com
After having driven from Wyoming with our 2 year old and 3 month old, we stopped in Oakley to stay at the Relax Inn that we had booked on Hotels.com. We were told that it had a pool and was appropriate for a family. When we got there it looked like a run down shanty. The building was filfthy and was missing the siding! My husband went in to tell them this was unacceptable and to let them know that we wanted our money back and we would not be staying there. Then the man tells him that there is no pool either! The only good things about this hotel are, the man was good about giving us our refund and it is right next to a Sleep Inn!

Cons: it sucked and we didnt even stay there
Location: look like crap
we ended up canceling our reservation cause the motel didnt match the description expedia has on there website. the motel does not have a swimming pool or a large dining area. the pictures are deceiving.
