“Great Place, very personalized Service”
I would recommend this hotel, central location and professional staff
“Convenient”
Typical Ibis, small rooms, but clean, quiet, and convenient. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but the staff was friendly and opened a bottle of wine for us and gave us glasses while we waited in the lobby. WiFi was free in the lobby as well, and it actually worked in our room too (since we were near the lobby). Underground parking was included and we walked everywhere from there. This property is located across from a park along the water, but we didn't have time to explore that side of the street. Warning: You have to pass the hotel and make a U turn when arriving in town to get to the hotel. With Ibis you always know what you are getting, and you can't beat the price for a central location.
“Basic hotel but ideal location”
The hotel is easy to find (just down the road from Coimbra A train station). The location is ideal, opposite the park and river, which are beautiful. It is located in the better end of the city, felt very safe. It is very close to the centre, around 5 minutes walk. The hotel room was basic, and a little cramped, but great for just sleeping and getting ready. The noise of the road is an issue if you have the window open in your room. The air conditioning works, but it is not great. The staff were friendly enough, not very helpful when it came to advice on what to see and do. Also, each day we had to ask for an extra towel as they only left one clean one between two of us. Apart from that, I have no major complaints. The room was cleaned every day, and our personal possessions were not even touched or moved, which was good. Overall, a great place to stay.
“Good basic hotel for good price”
The Ibis hotel has all the comforts you want when travelling for business. Good bed, WIFI, bath, room service, good and cheap breakfast and very nice staff. The location is good as well.
“Not a good experience”
Not so good. It was a hot autumn's day , and we ask for air-conditioning. They were quick and nice, but told us that it was a central one, for winter days, and that would take 24-48 h to change. The result was a terrible night, with open windows and street noise. In a weather-changing world, it counts a lot! As we have some experience in travelling, we obviously were not expecting "home sweet home" comfort, but it was not so clean as we wished.
