“i highly reccomend this hotel.”
good food, helpful staff, friendly owner, not as close to the beach as I wanted, but I would stay here again. Felt very safe.
“Hotel Coco Palms = A+”
Hotel Coco Palms was an absolutely amazing last stop on my Costa Rican vacation. The room itself was very reasonably priced. It was a small room with a simple double bed and a giant whimsical parrot painting that adorned the walls and was the subject of many photoshoots. The best part was the amazing little patio that overlooked the pool and had a view of the ocean. The hotel was quiet, close to all shops, restaurants, and the playa. We bought beer and sat by the amazing, clean, blue pool with a fountain and lounged in the sun all day, walked to awesome bars and restaurants that night, and woke up to a complimentary desayuno tipico in the morning (that was the only thing slightly not up to what I expected... not the most amazing breakfast I had in Costa Rica, but it was free!) I would of loved to try something from the sushi bar and the cocktails looked amazing. If I ever go back to the Rich Coast, I will be sure to stay here again!
“Comfortable place to stay for holiday.”
Nice hotel to stay - the beach, souvenir shopping, restaurants, supermarket, tours nearby. Good management, friendly stuff (English speaking), pleasant pool and exellent hyden garden. Delicious sushi, substantial breakfast - what we liked the best for food. Closest hotel to beach, parking around. Helpful reception stuff gave us lot of advices about traveling throw Guanacasta region. We were stay for 11 nights - family of 4 (6 and 9 y.o.) Birds, fruits, water everythere. We were happy to stay here for March-April 2012. I recomend to rent car before coming to Coco Playa, and visit all beaches aorund for swimming also. Defenetly reccomend to stay in the hotel to my friends and other people.
“Great hotel!”
Next to beach, downtown Coco. What more do you need when you have friendly staff and good food.
“An Oasis at the Coco Palms”
Very enjoyable accomodations. The included breakfast was a real plus, and was quite good. Other meal options were varied and well prepared. The pool and deck area was very pleasant, as was the covered dining and seating areas. Access to internet was truly valuable, and the free international calling was very helpful. All the staff were courteous and helpful. Met the owner, who turns out to be a former near neighbor of our in California. He has truly put a lot of effort into upgrading the facility. Its proximity to both the beach and the "main drag" was great. And yet, each night it was quiet at a decent hour. And if you like to wake to the sound of a crowing rooster, don't bother to set your alarm, because they greet the dawn everyday!
“Nice little place”
We really enjoyed our stay. We have been to Costa Rica and Playa Coco many times, but this is the first time we have actually stayed in Coco. The hotel is older and small, but the food was very good and the staff very friendly. The bar only has 3 stools which means you are going to get to meet people. We only stayed 2 nights, but we will stay longer next time. The hotel is a perfect base for exploring this region. Do not expect a mega resort and just flow --Pura Vida.
“Close to the Beach and Bars”
Well this Hotel is nice, comfortable, and clean.. is close to the beach and bars.. night life in playa del coco is great, even tho we didn't knew about dry law for eastern (means u cant buy alcohol for 2 days) they warn us, and we bought beers and guaro cacique in the market they have.. and kept it in the mini fridge inside our room.. the funny part is that you cant buy alcohol for those days, but if you bought it before, you can drink it any place u want, on the streets, on the beach, anywhere, even in front of the police.. as long as you don't drink in the restaurants and bars.. The 2 guys at the restaurant were very nice, they suggest places to go and party.. and one of them even made us a chiliguaro (alcohol with tabasco and lemon) with our own bottle that we bought at the market, we didn't have to pay extra.. The food service is kinda slow, you have to be patient or remind the waiters for what you order.. the breakfast is included, but is the typical Costa Rican eggs and Gallo Pinto, instead you can have pancakes with no extra charge, or use it as a 5 dollar coupon, most breakfast cost over 10 dollars..or 5,000 colones.
“Coco Palms was a pleasure”
Hotel has a great location. Easy to walk to everything in town. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I've never stayed at a hotel with such a personal touch. Hotel had some of the best food in town. Caught fish and the hotel prepared them for us 3 different ways. It was wonderful.
“Disappointed”
Spent 6 days at this hotel and was quite disappointed in it. The room was extremely noisy with vehicle traffic on the street due to the 24 hour store right at the hotel. The rooms had no insulation so you could hear everything inside the building and out. We did ask for a quieter room but were told they were booked up. The room was a standard room so the other rooms may have been better but when we asked they told us this was the only rooms with two double beds.
“Hôtel”
Hôtel était bien placé pour notre itinéraire hôtel sympa et banal par contre notre lit était vraiment nul il y avait un creux sur le milieu du matelat énorme on a très mal dormi
