“Nice placeto stay at Ernakulam”

“Typical Indian budget hotel”

I spent 3 nights at this hotel in June 2010. The location of the hotel is not bad - about 10 minutes walk to the main jetty for Fort Cochin (Ernakulam has no attractions at all, but it can be used as a base for exploring Fort Cochin as the bus/train stations are located in Ernakulam; other than that, better stay in Fort Cochin as it is cleaner, has more western places to eat/drink, and many nice colonial hotels and BBs). I woke up every night as the noise from the temple across the street was as loud as gun shots, sometimes as often as every 30-40 minutes, and it lasted during all 3 nights I stayed there. Not many choices to eat near the hotel. English language ability of the hotel staff is very basic.
