“Very Impressed”

Excellent hotel and casino. Sits out in the countryside of Calif foothills to the Sierras. Rooms were great, service very good. Several good food choices--outstanding buffetts. Although it didn't bother me, the smoke in the casino might bother some. No overflow smoke in the hotel or restaurants.

The room was beautiful, clean and very nice. The entire hotel was awesome and the food choices were great. The gambling was a blast!

After reading some mixed reviews of the hotel/casino, we did decide to stay, mainly for its close proximity to Yosemite Nat'l Park. The park was the reason for our visit to California. We found the hotel to be just as advertised. Friendly staff; spacious, well-appointed rooms with efficient housekeeping; reasonably outfitted fitness room; indoor-outdoor heated pool; and Serenity Spa (did not use). They have 5 on-site restaurants with varying menus and price range. We liked Goldfield's best - huge portions, reasonably priced, open 24 hours. They have adequate free, covered or uncovered parking, as well as valet parking. The casino area is large, and as stated by some has a strong cigarette smell, but hey, it's a casino. As an allergy sufferer, I did not find it overwhelming though. It did not seem to affect the adjoining restaurants, so a real attempt at ventilation is made. Our 2nd day in the casino, we found a non-smoking room with gaming machines, so it was our spot of choice thereafter. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, and would definitely return.

Very surprised to see such a nice casino neaby Yosemite National Park. Very updated, clean, relax and friendly.

“Need a night away!”

If your from the area this is a nice hotel for a night away. It is a little pricey for a one night weekend stay, but the rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable and the pool is lovely!! There is a really great selection of places to eat (from cheap to fancy) with lots of action in the casino. Room service was great and most of the staff was very friendly. The only person my husband and I had an issue with was the lady who checked us in -- who was either having a bad day or didnt care for her job much. If your lookling for a night away and live in the area I would recommend this hotel.

“Nice Casino Hotel”

Comfortable and spacious room. Nice views of surrounding forests. Good dining options with six or seven restaurants. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant and the food was very good. However, only one place was opened for breakfast at the time we were there and there was a 30 minutes wait.

“Fun place to stay and play”

Hotel was nice, but AC in room was not working when we checked in. Maintenance got it wokring, but only partially. Was cool enough to stay, but reported AC was still not working completely when we checked out.
