Absolute joke - originally asked to move my venue as where we were going changed locations was told no so kept booking. Turned up to hotel last night to be told booking cancelled so had no booking and no where to stay - still waiting for call back as of 11am today it’s 6pm now and no one can confirm what’s happened

The hotel makes best use of it’s facilities. Every member of staff I came across was cheerful and helpful. The room was clean and had all I required. It was value for money. The decor was tired but everything worked. My only problem was that I am handicapped and the liquid soap was out of my reach when I wanted a bath..

Very good Greene king pub food
Very good Greene king hungry horse pub & food, helpful busy staff. The rooms are like chalet’s in the car park but big enough modern & clean. Local area there is a truck stop right nxt door so pub has some truckers in it but mostly families. Only draw back was a stretch of the local road was used as a race track til about 11 pm cars screaming up & down

It could be better
Room 10: The carpet looked like it had been vacuumed for a while. Dedicated coffee was still hanging on the apparently washed coffee cups! There was a piece of candy stuck on the floor in the bathroom. There was no toilet brush and the bottom of the toilet was dirty! Too bad because the beds and bathroom looked fairly recent. With some attention to hygiene this would be a good hotel. You have to take into account that it is next to a guarded truck parking lot where the refrigerated trucks can be heard. The experience with the PUB was good, friendly staff, varied selection.

2nd time here , visiting my brother in Coalville. A different room a huge bed, very clean, arrived late staff very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Highly recommended

Next to a lorry park and there was a power generator running 24/7. Room had the front door kicked in (visible repairs inside the room) Not a comfortable stay and will find another hotel next time!

Charnwood arms
Surprisingly what fabulous rooms they have. It’s a pub but the annexe / lodge has the bedrooms. I was so surprised how clean tidy and comfortable it was. The lady who checked me in was so polite and friendly. Really really enjoyed my stay and as I was on business and which will be regular I will definitely stay here again

The Charnwood Arms
Assumed we’d be staying at the Inn, but pleasantly surprised to be staying in “Little houses” nearby. Was able to park in front of the properties. The Inn had a restaurant on site, or a 2 minute walk to a Beefeater restaurant next door. Had a lovely breakfast in the Inn, with very reasonable prices.

I liked having the restaurant and pub on site. The place is a little tired looking and is in need of a complete upgrade. The car park and area around the entrance could be better maintained. Someone needs to get a broom and clean up.

The rooms are tired but exceptionally clean. The staff are fabulous and helpful if you ask questions. This is my 2nd stay and I will stay again

Would stay here again, handy for Donnington Park
Good value for money, everything you need for a comfy stay, staircase a bit creaky but generally nice and peaceful. Breakfast in the pub is great value.

Good venue for local band rehearsal and social.
Arrived on Sat morning. Plenty of parking not a problem. Couldn’t check in early had to be 2pm. Room for solo traveller excellent. All the mod cons. Room could have had a little bit of makeover but still cozy and warm. Bar area efficient and staff friendly and helpful. Many beers and gins on offer. Breakfast very ample and sufficient. Nice place will be stopping again in future.

The hotel uses a large car park which is free to residents. However being a light sleeper I was woken from about 3:30am by HGVs starting up and moving off.

First room given wasn’t cleaned 2nd room given was only made for one person and there’s 2 on booking, so needed more towels n tea /coffee etc, only 1 tea bag in room for 22 hours , really was skimpy,

The rooms are on the outside of the pub. They are like little huts. It was clean and warm but the bed was very hard (my personal preference is a soft bed). Its used by a lot of tradesman who seem to start work around 5am and all start their vans early. The window.in my room was broken so i really struggled to close it. Overall the room was ok for the price.
