“Pretty great”
It was a very nice hotel with a lot of character due to the building being so old. However, everything has been updated nicely and is very modern with the charm of an older building. The staff was very nice too!
“Outstanding in Every Regard”
Formerly the Cleveland Men's Club, the Doubletree Tudor Arms has retained the dignity, charm and warmth of an exclusive men's club while adding the polish and shine of a first-class hotel. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and helpful; the rooms are fresh and beautifully appointed. The magnificent onyx bath and hardwood floors were especially noteworthy. The in-house lounge and restaurant were also first-class -- an unexpected pleasure. My husband is a car fanatic; we NEVER use valet parking. He was delighted with the valet service and the security of the valet lot. To my amazement, he agreed that we'd definately stay at the Tudor Arms for all future visits to Cleveland (and the Cleveland Clinic).
“Written review”
Excellent. Only issue was poor water pressure in the shower. Otherwise, very nice, very spacious. Real fast buffet a bit pricey.
“Just what I needed”
Great value, very helpful front desk staff, clean and well-appointed rooms.
“A perfect place to stay by the Cleveland Clinic.”
This accommodation was such a refuge when my son was at the Cleveland Clinic. The staff was always friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious and clean. I especially appreciated the crisp cotton sheets and in room tea and coffee selections.
“Home Away From Home”
All the employees were friendly, especially Jasmine and Sean. Valet parking and did not have to use the car to go anywhere. I was scheduled to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM and the shuttlebus driver made sure I was there as scheduled. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Great decor. Only one problem, the bedside lights did not work and I did not report it to anyone. Frankie May 21-23 Room 801

The most friendly helpful staff Ive ever had, everybody went above and beyond bravo!
“Lovely and Expensive”
This is a very interesting hotel, because it is quite old and is being rehabbed. The rehabbed sleeping room we had is lovely, as are the ballrooms. We did have one concern. We were put in a wheelchair accessible room, which has an automatic door that you cannot operate manually. This was quite disconcerting to us because once we were inside the room, we could not get the door open for quite a while. The button to push has no instructions by it. It needs a sign saying, "Push and hold to open door." The other disconcerting feature of the automatic door is that it remains open for a full 20 seconds after you have gone in or out. That may be an appropriate length of time for a wheelchair user, but for us walking in or out, it was much too long. The price of the room was a stretch for us, but we chose the hotel due to its location near Case Western Reserve University. When we learned on the way out that we also had to pay over $17 per night for mandatory valet parking, we were unhappy.

Breakfast was too expensive. We were visiting CWRU so convenient. Although far from Airport. Would recommend to be on list for CWRU visitors.
“Decent if you get a good price on the room....”
I was definitely expecting more from the renovated Tudor Arms, but all-in-all, the hotel was decent. My husband and I didn't sleep well either night (stayed two nights) since the rooms were renovated with hard wood floors; we could hear EVERY footstep the guests directly above us took. We also thought the entire building was a bit spooky in general; partially due to the minimalist contemporary meets transitional theme throughout the hotel which seemed cold and uncomfortable, and partially due to the fact that we were the only guests staying on our entire floor-- it just seemed odd. I thought some of the renovations were sloppy (unfinished base-boards, gashes in the wood doors, uneven paint-jobs), but if you are not particular about cosmetics, then again - it was decent. The hotel staff was lovely; they even greeted us with a warm cookie upon arrival. Our only complaint about the service was the valet-only parking for almost $18 / night. The surrounding neighborhood was also not the best; however, about 5 miles down Cedar Ave, we found a nice shopping center. Downtown Cleveland also wasn't a terrible drive from the hotel (maybe 4 miles). I would not go out of my way to stay in this hotel versus another unless I got a deal on the room. It was charming, just in its own unique way.
